dc.description.abstractSe detallan los resultados y la estructura del catálogo de la diversidad biológica que compila el proceso del Proyecto 1: "Inventario de la diversidad biológica en una región del sur de Bolívar, Colombia" enmarcado en el programa Bio-Reto XXI-15:50. Éste se llevó a cabo en la vereda Santo Domingo, municipio de Cantagallo, departamento de Bolívar, dentro de la Zona de Reserva Campesina del Valle del Río Cimitarra (ZRC - VRC), donde se registró la biodiversidad del sitio durante salidas de campo con un total de 45 días de muestreo entre junio y octubre de 2019. El catálogo fotográfico compila, además, información taxonómica, ecológica y estados de amenaza para 350 especies entre plantas, insectos, anfibios, reptiles, aves y mamíferos. Se presenta una galería de 100 imágenes que ilustran los ecosistemas del área de estudio, los procesos antrópicos, el trabajo biológico llevado a cabo y una muestra de la biodiversidad encontrada. Se representa en una sección a los participantes involucrados en las expediciones, y se expone un breve recorrido por las colecciones biológicas de la Escuela de Biología de la Universidad Industrial de Santander a donde se depositaron especímenes y tejidos de esta biodiversidad. Este catálogo permite socializar y compartir de manera divulgativa los resultados del inventario biológico. Asimismo, dado el carácter visual del catálogo y la precisión de la información, se puede contribuir con la apropiación del conocimiento por parte de las comunidades y por ende a la valoración de la conservación de estos recursos naturales de su entorno.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe results and structure of the biologic diversity catalogue that compiles the process of Project 1: "Inventory of biological diversity in a region of southern Bolivar, Colombia" framed in the Bio-Challenge XXI-15:50 program are detailed. The project was carried out in the village of Santo Domingo, municipality of Cantagallo, department of Bolivar, within the Peasant Reserve Zone of the Cimitarrra River Valley (ZRC - VRC); the biodiversity of the site was recorded during sampling field trips that totaled 45 days between June and October 2019. The photographic catalog also compiles taxonomic and ecologic information, and threat status of 350 species of plants, insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. A gallery of 100 images illustrates the ecosystems of the area, the anthropic processes, the biological work carried out, and a sample of its biodiversity. The participants involved in the expeditions are represented in one section, and the biological collections of the School of Biology of the Universidad Industrial de Santander are shown in a brief tour, where specimens and tissues of this biodiversity were deposited. This catalog allows promulgate and share in an informative way the results of the biological inventory. Thus, given the visual nature of the catalog and the accuracy information, it can contribute to the increase of community awareness and knowledge, therefore to the appreciation and conservation of these natural resources in their environment.
