dc.description.abstractEn el presente trabajo de grado se realiza una propuesta para el fortalecimiento del inglés en la Escuela de Estudios Industriales y Empresariales. Este trabajo de grado se realizó bajo la modalidad de práctica empresarial con el fin de que los estudiantes de ingeniería industrial obtengan mejores resultados en las pruebas de inglés en el examen Saber Pro y que al mismo tiempo mejoren sus habilidades comunicativas en el idioma. Este proyecto se dividió en 3 partes principales. En primer lugar, se realizó una revisión de literatura con el fin de conocer aquellos factores que están relacionados con el nivel de inglés según los investigadores, luego a partir de los resultados de las pruebas del Saber Pro de los años 2016 al 2020, se realizó un estudio cuantitativo y para complementar la investigación se realizó una investigación cualitativa para empatizar y conocer mejor las necesidades de los estudiantes, así como descubrir cuáles son esas áreas de oportunidad en las que la escuela puede aportar. Finalmente, a través de un Benchmarking de lo que se está haciendo nacionalmente y con la aplicación de las inteligencias múltiples, así como las estaciones de aprendizaje, se realiza la propuesta para mejorar las habilidades de los estudiantes de la Escuela.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn this degree work, a proposal is made for the strengthening of English in the School of Industrial and Business Studies. This degree work was carried out under the modality of business practice for industrial engineering students in order to obtain better results in the English tests in the Saber Pro exam and at the same time improve their communicative skills in the language in a competitive environment. This project was divided into 3 main parts. First, a literature review was conducted for the sake of know those factors that are related to the level of English according to the researchers, then from the results of the Saber Pro tests from the years 2016 to 2020, a quantitative study was conducted and to complement the quantitative research a qualitative research was conducted to empathize and better understand the needs of students, as well as to discover what are those areas of opportunity in which the school can contribute. Finally, through a Benchmarking of what is being done nationally and with the application of multiple intelligences, as well as the learning stations, the proposal to improve the communication skills in the language of English of the industrial engineering students at the school.
