dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación tiene como fin, analizar los conceptos de sexualidad e identidad en torno al yo del individuo, desde la perspectiva filosófica de Camille Paglia, la cual mostrará cómo la tesis de la autora se enfoca, particularmente, en demostrar que la cultura occidental ha tenido una gran influencia en el desarrollo conductual del individuo, en específico, sobre la sexualidad y la identidad. Así, para el desarrollo de estos dos conceptos, la autora los problematiza, a través de la dialéctica filosófica de lo apolíneo y lo dionisiaco, conceptos que remiten a los términos de naturaleza y cultura. Con lo cual, la tesis de Paglia lleva a problematizar cada concepto planteado, desde dos corrientes teóricas; por un lado, la corriente naturalista, que remite a una naturaleza primitiva del hombre; y por otro lado, una corriente construccionista, que surge como consecuencia de lo planteado en el naturalismo, y que expone, en cambio, que ningún concepto tiene una particularidad a priori en el hombre, sino que se construye en paralelo a través del lenguaje. De esta manera, Camille Paglia expone que el desarrollo de los conceptos de sexualidad e identidad en la psique del hombre, se desarrollan conflictivamente, dado que hay dos planos dialécticos que intentan conquistar cada concepto.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe present research aims to analyze the concepts of sexuality and identity around the individual’s self from the philosophical perspective of Camille Paglia, which will show how the author’s thesis focuses, particularly in demonstrating that Western culture has had a great influence on the behavioral development of the individual, specifically on sexuality and identity. Thus, for the development of these two concepts, the author problematizes them through the philosophical dialectic of the Apollonian and the Dionysian, concepts that refer to the terms of nature and culture. Therefore, Paglia’s thesis leads to problematize each concept aforementioned from two theoretical currents; on the one hand, the naturalistic current, which refers to a primitive nature of man; and the other hand, a constructionist current, which arises as a consequence of what is proposed in naturalism, and which exposes, instead, that no concept has a priori particularity in man, but is built in parallel through language. In this way, Camille Paglia explains that the development of the concepts of sexuality and identity in the psyche of man, develop conflictively, since there are two dialectical planes that try to conquer each concept.
