dc.description.abstractEl documento describe la práctica empresarial realizada en la División de Planta Física de la Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), donde se desempeñó el rol de auxiliar de residente de obra en el proyecto de ampliación de la infraestructura física de la Facultad de Salud, ubicada en el Hospital Universitario de Santander. La experiencia comenzó con una fase de inmersión que incluyó la revisión detallada de planos, modelos y especificaciones técnicas mediante el uso de plataformas como ©Trimble Connect y ©OneDrive. Posteriormente, se realizó la supervisión directa en campo de las redes hidrosanitarias y contra incendios, verificando que la ejecución de las instalaciones cumpliera con los planos, las especificaciones técnicas y los tiempos de entrega establecidos. Paralelamente, se evaluaron las cantidades de obra ejecutadas, utilizando herramientas como ©Revit Autodesk 2025 y ©AutoCAD para el control de avances y la elaboración de reportes. La documentación sistemática permitió identificar posibles mejoras en los procesos constructivos y en la planificación de actividades. El proyecto contempló la construcción de un edificio de cinco niveles con dos sótanos y espacios como laboratorios, consultorios, aulas y biblioteca, cumpliendo altos estándares de sostenibilidad, accesibilidad y de calidad. La práctica fortaleció habilidades clave como la gestión del tiempo, el trabajo en equipo y la resolución de problemas bajo presión, proporcionando una visión más realista de los retos del ejercicio profesional en el sector de la construcción cumpliendo con los objetivos propuestos al inicio del desarrollo de este ejercicio.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe paper describes the internship carried out in the Physical Plant Division of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS), where she played the role of construction resident assistant in the project to expand the physical infrastructure of the Faculty of Health, located in the University Hospital of Santander. The experience began with an immersion phase that included detailed review of drawings, models and technical specifications using platforms such as ©Trimble Connect and ©OneDrive. Subsequently, direct field monitoring of the water and fire protection networks was carried out, verifying that the execution of the installations complied with the plans, technical specifications and established delivery times. At the same time, the quantities of work executed were evaluated, using tools such as ©Revit Autodesk 2025 and ©AutoCAD for progress monitoring and reporting. The systematic documentation identified potential improvements in building processes and planning activities. The project envisaged the construction of a five-level building with two cellars and spaces such as laboratories, offices, classrooms and library, meeting high standards of sustainability, accessibility and quality. Practice strengthened key skills such as time management, teamwork and problem solving under pressure, providing a more realistic view of the challenges of professional practice in the construction sector, meeting the objectives proposed at the beginning of this exercise.
