dc.description.abstractEste proyecto artístico surge de la inquietud de la autora en trabajar con botellas plásticas recicladas, las cuales se convierten en desechos sólidos como resultado del consumo cotidiano de gaseosas, resultando interés por transformar este material en una obra escultórica. Trabajando con este objeto, botellas de plástico, se realizaron dibujos y pinturas sobre ese material para presentar al espectador un mundo infantil, que a su vez permite la creación de diferentes piezas polimorfas. Estas piezas, acompañadas de un set de luces, que permitieron generar los reflejos con los que irá a interactuar el observador. El tema se desarrolla a partir de un vinculo que se establece con el consumo de la gaseosa por parte de los niños y también como bebida refrescante mientras se juega y se ríe, ya que la gaseosa es una bebida colorida presente en reuniones, fiestas infantiles y familiares. La pieza final procura persuadir al espectador para realizar un recorrido alrededor de esta, y que a su vez le permita realizar una reinterpretación libre y creativa de lo que ve y percibe. Para la creación de la obra se reciclaron alrededor de 900 botellas de gaseosa de un litro, litro y medio, dos litros y tres litros, se utilizó pintura para vitral y a la hora de unir estas piezas se usaron amarres de plástico. El proyecto permitió consolidar un lenguaje artístico en el cual se ha podido pasar de lo bidimensional a lo tridimensional, a la vez se vislumbra la capacidad invasiva que tiene el material y las posibilidades de llevar el proyecto a otra escala, involucrando a la comunidad en este proceso artístico.
dc.description.abstractenglish“Reflections” stems from the author’s interest in working with recycled plastic bottles, which produce a large amount of solid waste as a result of regular soda consumption, as well as an interest in transforming the aforementioned material into sculptural artwork. The reproductions drawn and painted on the bottles’ surface intent to introduce spectators into a state of child rational, which in turn enables the creation of polymorphic pieces. Such pieces, accompanied by a display of lights on the material’s surface, allow the author to generate the reflections she expects the spectator to interact with, in turn enables the creation of polymorphic pieces. The theme of the project develops from the consumption of soda and its linck to children –being the firs a perfect example of a refreshing drink usually drank in happy, playful environments. The final piece, Reflections, aims to persuade the spectator to go around it and find his own interpretation of it –hopefully a creative one. In order to complete the final piece, more than 900 soda bottles of different sizes were used, as well as glass painting and plastic ties to join the individual bottles together. The project also allowed the author to consolidate an artistic language that helped her two-dimensional ideas into tridimensional art, and at the same time, to discover the possibilities of the material through community involvement
