dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio propone analizar la concepción de libertad individual del Ame-rican way of life de la posguerra. Para examinar esto se hace un acercamiento al pensamiento de Sartre porque sus estudios sobre la libertad humana nos permiten entender por qué la libertad individual, según Sartre, no es suficiente para realizar la libertad humana. Primero, el trabajo inicia con una revisión del existencialismo y sus antecedentes y con un estudio histórico de la idea de American way of life. Segundo, el texto examina tres artículos escritos por Sartre en Les Temps Moder-nes donde consigna su crítica contra la libertad individual en los Estados Unidos. Tercero, este trabajo investiga acerca de la idea de la libertad humana desde la perspectiva de Sartre. Por lo tanto, es necesario leer su libro El Ser y la nada y su conferencia Existencialismo es un humanismo. Finalmente, habiendo señalado la concepción de Sartre sobre la libertad humana el texto procede a indicar la dife-rencia entre la libertad individual del American way of life y la libertad humana que es entendida como compromiso con el otro. En último lugar, el texto presenta las conclusiones considerando que este no es una crítica terminada, por tanto, el texto funciona como una contribución que pretende situar la crítica de Sartre al Ameri-can way of life. Como resultado de esto el texto espera otros trabajos investigati-vos sobre el tema.
dc.description.abstractenglishHUMAN FREEDOM, INDI-VIDUAL FREDOM, COMMITMENT. The present study proposes to analyze the conception of individual freedom of American way of life on postwar. To examine this it resorts cause his studies about human freedom allow us to understand why individual freedom, according to Sartre, is not enough to make the human freedom. Firstly, the work starts with a review of existentialism and their antecedents and with a his-toric study about the idea of American way of life. Secondly, the text examines three articles written by Sartre in Les Temps Modernes where he consigns his cri-tique against individual freedom in Unites States. Thirdly, this dissertation search about the idea of human freedom following to Sartre. Therefore is necessary to read his book Being and Nothingness and his public lecture Existentialism is a hu-manism. Finally, having said the conception of Sartre about human freedom the text proceeds to indicate the different between Individual Freedom of American way of life and Human Freedom which is related as a commitment with the other. In last place, the text presents the conclusions considering that this is not a fin-ished critique, consequently, the text works as a first contribution which pretends to situate the critique of Sartre to American way of life. As a result of this, the text hopes other dissertations.
