dc.description.abstractEl presente documento expone las experiencias adquiridas durante una práctica empresarial de cuatro meses, desarrollada en el proyecto "Mejoramiento de la infraestructura física de la Facultad de Salud UIS", donde se desempeñó el rol de auxiliar de ingeniería en supervision para la División de Planta Física de la Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), como parte del proceso para optar al título de Ingeniera Civil. En esta práctica, se llevaron a cabo actividades de supervisión y control de obra. En el área de obra blanca, se avanzó en la instalación de pisos de mármol, enchapes, construcción de muros secos en fibrocemento, mediacaña, muros de aislamiento acústico, acabados de muros (estuco), columnas y pisos en granito pulido, entre otros. Para el seguimiento de estas actividades, se realizaron visitas frecuentes a la obra y se emplearon herramientas como ©Revit, ©AutoCAD, ©Trimble Connect y ©Excel para calcular cantidades de obra. Además, se generaron informes de avances y se brindó acompañamiento en la supervisión de especificaciones técnicas y procesos constructivos. En estrecha colaboración con el ingeniero contratista, el residente y el interventor, se resolvieron los inconvenientes y errores identificados en la obra, contribuyendo de manera significativa al cumplimiento de los objetivos del proyecto y al aprendizaje del practicante.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe present document outlines the experiences gained during a four-month internship as part of the project "Improvement of the Physical Infrastructure of the UIS Faculty of Health." In this role, I served as an engineering assistant for the Physical Plant Division of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS), as part of the requirements to obtain a Civil Engineering degree. The internship involved various tasks related to the supervision and control of construction work. In the scope of interior finishing works, progress was made in the installation of marble floors, tiling, the construction of dry walls in fiber cement, cove base installation, acoustic insulation walls, wall finishes (stucco), columns, and polished granite floors, among others. For tracking these activities, frequent site visits were conducted, utilizing tools such as ©Revit, ©AutoCAD, ©Trimble Connect, and ©Excel to calculate quantities of work. Additionally, progress reports were generated, and assistance was provided in supervising technical specifications and construction processes. In close collaboration with the contractor, the resident engineer, and the project inspector, any issues or errors identified on site were addressed, significantly contributing to the achievement of project objectives and to the intern’s professional development.
