Variaciones del círculo arterial cerebral (Willis)y de las arterias cerebrales. Un estudio anatómico directo

dc.description.abstractEl modelo vascular del círculo arterial cerebral y de las arterias cerebrales se describe, con un patrón usual de expresión, con variaciones relacionadas con su origen, longitud, diámetros y territorios irrigados; que modifican el flujo sanguíneo cerebral con evidentes implicaciones clínicas. En Colombia no se han realizado estudios sobre este tema, por lo cual, los conceptos académicos se basan en trabajos sobre poblaciones étnicamente diferentes a la nuestra. En este estudio se evaluaron 35 encéfalos de individuos masculinos con edades entre los 16 y 65 años procedentes de la ciudad de Bucaramanga. Las arterias cerebrales se perfundieron con resina semisintética y se midieron con un calibrador electrónico sus longitudes y diámetros. Además se registraron sus expresiones morfológicas. La arteria comunicante posterior presenta una longitud promedio de12.09 m.m y un diámetro de 1.2 destacándose el alto porcentaje de hipoplasias unilaterales y bilaterales (10.6% y 27.3 %). La arteria comunicante anterior es única (88.6%) y de trayectoria horizontal (60%); La arteria callosomarginal, emergiendo de A3 originó en la mayoría de los casos las arterias frontales y finalizo como arteria del lobulillo paracentral; este giro recibió irrigación directamente del segmento A4 en el 39.1%.. A5 irrigo el girus precuneal en el 38.6% siendo suplida por la parietooccipital en e resto de casos La cerebral media se expreso como tronco único en el 27.9%; igualmente fue bifurcada en el 63.2% y trifurcada en el 8.8%. El diámetro del tronco principal fue 2.92 mm; su rama terminal se desprendió de la división inferior en el 69.5%. De la cerebral posterior se origina las ramas temporales inferiores anteriores y medias en 28.6%. De P3 se desprenden las arterias temporales inferiores posteriores en 14.1% y la arteria pericallosa posterior en 90.2%. La presentación de hipoplasias y la marcada variabilidad de la arteria cerebral anterior, motiva la realización de estudios en otras regiones de
