dc.description.abstractLa presente monografía está enfocada en como evaluar el sistema de protección catódica de una línea de acero al carbón D 4" API 5LX42 S/C SCH40 en operación para distribución de gas natural. En este documento se plantea el análisis de corrosión bajo las técnicas DCGV y CIPS para una línea ubicada dentro de un centro urbano y usada para la distribución de gas natural, acorde con las normas vigentes en Colombia. La base para el desarrollo de este proyecto se fundamenta en la información técnica en el proceso del gasoducto suministrada por el operador de la línea y su relevancia radica en la alta densidad poblacional presente en el trazado del gasoducto y la edad avanzada de este ducto. Una vez analizados los resultados de los informes de campo sobre el tramo del gasoducto TAP Bavaria - TAP Ferrocarril el operador del sistema establece un plan de evaluación de integridad en los puntos o regiones más críticas o susceptibles, tomando acciones de mitigación y corrección que están establecidos en los protocolos y en las normas. Por último, actualiza el Plan de Contingencia incluyendo la línea y sus características con un manejo de integridad que posibilita y garantiza la operación segura y confiable del gasoducto.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis monograph is focused on how to evaluate the cathodic protection system of a carbon steel line to a D 4 "API 5LX42 S / C SCH40 in operation for natural gas distribution.This document presents the corrosion analysis under the DCGV and CIPS techniques for a line located within an urban center and dedicated to the distribution of natural gas, according to the current regulations in Colombia. The basis for the development of this project is technical information on the gas pipeline process, provided by the line operator and its relevance lies in the high population density in the route of the gas pipeline and the advanced age of this pipeline. Once analyzed the results of the field reports the section of the TAP Bavaria - TAP Ferrocarril gas pipeline, the system operator establishes an integrity evaluation plan in the most critical or susceptible points or regions, taking mitigation and correction actions that are established in the protocols and regulations. Finally, it updates the Contingency Plan including the line and its characteristics with an Integrity Management that guarantees the safe and reliable operation of the gas pipeline
