dc.description.abstractenglish | The following work is aimed at the design and construction of an impulse hammer as a solution to the implementation of a new non-destructive technique in the inspection of adhesion in coatings of industrial structures, developed in conjunction with the Corporación para la Investigación de la Corrosión and the Industrial University of Santander. As a methodological formula for development, an approach is made to the concepts of modal analysis and mechanical design; then the development of the quality house is carried out in response to finding the most relevant criteria at the moment of designing and choosing between different proposals the best, to finally carry out the construction. With the final proposal chosen, a static structural study is carried out under the maximum impact loads to validate the integrity and safety of the designed hammer; Once this study is completed, it begins with the validation of the operation of the chosen proposal by searching for the modal characteristics of the hammer through three analyses: first a mathematical analysis, second an analysis using the FEM finite element method in the Ansys software and finally an EMA experimental modal analysis by means of laboratory tests performed with an electromagnetic shaker on the model already built in the mechanical vibrations laboratory of the School of Mechanical Engineering at UIS; The results of the three analyses are compared with each other in order to validate the correct design of the hammer. *
