dc.description.abstractEl propósito de este trabajo es conocer el impacto, pertinencia, desempeño y calidad de los graduados de los programas de Matemáticas y Licenciatura en Matemáticas de la Escuela de Matemáticas entre los periodos 2015 – I a 2020 – I, además de conocer la percepción de los empleadores de estos programas con respecto a la formación ofrecida por la Universidad Industrial de Santander; para ello la Escuela ha optado por realizar un estudio de seguimiento a graduados con el objetivo de mantener la calidad y pertinencia de sus programas, con miras a alcanzar y conservar la acreditación. Por ello, se procede a realizar una revisión de la bibliografía de los diferentes estudios a nivel nacional e internacional y seguir la metodología propuesta por el OLE y el proceso de descubrimiento de conocimiento (por sus siglas en inglés KDD) utilizado para el análisis y tratamiento de grandes volúmenes de datos. Posteriormente se construye el instrumento de medición tomando como guía, el Manual de la Red Graduados, el instrumento propuesto por el OLE e instrumentos desarrollados previamente a este estudio, luego de su revisión y consolidación, se difundirá por medio de la plataforma LimeSurvey, el desarrollo de la encuesta será supervisado por la Escuela de Matemática, y así obtener la retroalimentación de los profesionales sobre información personal, financiera, demográfica, competencias, situación laboral, nivel de identidad y satisfacción con los recursos ofrecidos por la UIS. Finalmente se analizarán los resultados obtenidos por medio de técnicas multivariables y técnicas de minaría de datos, con el fin de caracterizar los diversos perfiles de los graduados, haciendo uso de las herramientas de análisis de datos SPSS STATISTICS y Power Bi.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe purpose of this work is to know the impact, relevance, performance and quality of the graduates of the Mathematics and Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics programs of the School of Mathematics between the periods 2015 - I to 2020 - I, in addition to knowing the perception of the employers of these programs with respect to the vocational training offered by the Universidad Industrial de Santander; for this the School has chosen to conduct a follow-up study to graduates with the aim of maintaining the quality and relevance of its programs with a view to achieving and maintaining accreditation. Therefore, a review of the bibliography of the different national and international studies is carried out and the methodology proposed by the OLE and the knowledge discovery process (KDD) used for the analysis and treatment of large volumes of data is followed. Subsequently, the measurement instrument is built taking as a guide, the Manual de la Red Graduados, the instrument proposed by the OLE and instruments developed previously to this study, after its review and consolidation, it will be disseminated through the LimeSurvey platform, the development of the survey will be supervised by the School of Mathematics, and thus obtain feedback from professionals on personal, financial, demographic, skills, employment status, level of identity and satisfaction with the resources offered by the UIS. Finally, the results obtained will be analyzed by means of multivariate techniques and data mining techniques, in order to characterize the different profiles of the graduates, making use of the data analysis tools SPSS STATISTICS and Power Bi.
