dc.description.abstractLa democratización del conocimiento científico y tecnológico es clave para el desarrollo de las sociedades, esta se impulsa mediante políticas como la Apropiación Social del Conocimiento (ASC). Este informe de pasantía de investigación se centra en las comunidades de Tapias y Toche, cercanas al volcán Cerro Machín, a través de la caracterización, la promoción del diálogo de saberes y el turismo comunitario como herramientas de desarrollo. Se identifican desafíos como la débil comunicación institucional, la falta de gestión del riesgo y pocas oportunidades educativas, pero también se reconoce el potencial de la comunidad para transformar su realidad. La investigación incluye un análisis del territorio, representaciones y percepciones sociales, capacidades educativas y propone un Semillero de Investigación para fortalecer la educación y la participación. Aunque se identificaron obstáculos, destaca el interés comunitario por aprender, investigar y desarrollar un turismo comunitario y sostenible desde sus propios saberes.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe democratization of scientific and technological knowledge is key to the development of societies; it is promoted through policies such as the Social Appropriation of Knowledge (SAK). This research internship report focuses on the communities of Tapias and Toche, near the Cerro Machín volcano, through characterization, the promotion of dialogue of knowledges, and community tourism as development tools. Challenges such as weak institutional communication, lack of risk management, and limited educational opportunities are identified, but the community’s potential to transform its reality is also recognized. The research includes an analysis of the territory, social representations and perceptions, educational capacities, and proposes a Research Seedbed to strengthen education and participation. Although obstacles were identified, the community’s interest in learning, researching, and developing community-based and sustainable tourism from their own knowledge stands out.
