dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación tiene como objetivo en determinar el efecto producido por la componente vertical sísmica en respuesta estructural de un puente de concreto reforzado de dos vanos con tablero de vigas y losa continua, simplemente apoyado en estribos y sobre un pilar intermedio debido a una familia de acelerogramas seleccionados de la base de datos del servicio geológico colombiano. Se escogieron tres registros sísmicos ubicados en varios sectores de Colombia que cumplen con magnitudes de momento mayores a 4.0, registrados a menos de 50 km de la distancia epicentral y con picos de aceleración horizontales (PGAH) mayores a 0.02g. Se desarrollaron modelos mediante el programa MIDAS Civil, donde se compara la respuesta estructural debido a los tres registros tomados con y sin la componente vertical. Los resultados obtenidos ilustran la importancia del efecto de la componente vertical del sismo en los desplazamientos y las fuerzas internas de la superestructura, con incrementos desde el 5% hasta el 19,13%. | |
dc.description.abstractenglish | The present investigation aims to determine the effect produced by the vertical seismic component on the structural response of a two-span reinforced concrete bridge with girder deck and continuous slab, simply supported on abutments and on an intermediate abutment due to a family of accelerograms selected from the Colombian Geological Survey database. Three seismic records located in various sectors of Colombia were chosen that comply with moment magnitudes greater than 4.0, recorded within 50 km of the epicentral distance and with peak horizontal acceleration (PGAH) greater than 0.02g. Models were developed using the MIDAS Civil program, comparing the structural response due to the three records taken with and without the vertical component. The results obtained illustrate the importance of the effect of the vertical component of the earthquake on the displacements and internal forces of the superstructure, with increases from 5% to 19.13%. | |
