dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio tiene como problemática principal el fenómeno del retiro de seminaristas y sacerdotes de las casas de formación y de la vida sacerdotal respectivamente, fenómeno que afecta a la Iglesia Universal. Aunque esto se presenta desde mucho tiempo atrás y los casos son numerosos y crecientes, es notable la ausencia de investigaciones al respecto. El marco teórico se constituye con base en la teoría crítica y se tendrá como principales atores a François Houtart, Max Weber y Michel Foucault. Se definió como objetivo general analizar las causalidades, consecuencias e inserción en la vida laical ligadas al retiro de la vida vocacional de seminaristas y sacerdotes de la arquidiócesis de Bucaramanga en el periodo comprendido entre los años 2000-2019, como insumo de significación de este fenómeno para la institución eclesial, la academia y la sociedad. En relación intrínseca se formulan los objetivos específicos, a saber: establecer un consolidado estadístico en relación a los seminaristas y sacerdotes que se formaron en el Seminario Mayor Arquidiocesano de Bucaramanga en el periodo comprendido entre los años 2000-2019, con el fin de establecer los sujetos que harán parte de la investigación; indagar por los juicios e imaginarios en la etapa previa, durante la formación, en el ejercicio del ministerio y en la inserción de la vida laical; contrastar la información obtenida en la recolección de datos con las orientaciones magisteriales sobre la formación sacerdotal y las reflexiones académicas que desde la psicología explican el fenómeno del retiro de la vida vocacional y sacerdotal en la arquidiócesis de Bucaramanga; consolidar un corpus explicativo del fenómeno del retiro de la vida vocacional de seminaristas y sacerdotes diocesanos en el periodo comprendido entre los años 2000-2019 como insumo de significación de este fenómeno para institución eclesiástica, la academia y la sociedad. La ruta metodológica se desarrolló desde un paradigma y un enfoque crítico. En relación con las técnicas e instrumentos se utilizaron: encuestas, entrevistas semiestructuradas, documentos oficiales generales, reglamentos y en lo posible, hojas de vida. Para eso se recurrió a archivos y bases de datos (informes documentales). En cuanto a los resultados se visibilizó que las principales causas que generan la deserción de la vida vocacional y ministerial respectivamente están asociadas a las relaciones de poder, en primer lugar, además a causas de tipo afectivo sexual. El proceso de retiro vocacional y ministerial está ligado a conflictos internos como crisis existencial e identidad y dolor; además se identificó pérdida de fe, distanciamiento, indiferencia y apatía de la iglesia y compañeros de formación y de ministerio. En cuanto al proceso de inserción a la vida laical se concluye desde una triple mirada: para la comunidad y fieles laicos el fenómeno es entendido como error y fracaso, situación que se manifiesta en el trato distante, poco cortés e ilustrado con juicios condenatorios y de señalamiento; por otro lado la iglesia institución (seminario, compañeros y jerarquía eclesiástica) toman una actitud de alejamiento - abandono, segregación y señalamiento de su ex seminarista o ex sacerdote; una tercera mirada es la de estas personas, , en la que se experimenta una evolución. En primera instancia se percibe la crisis y la ruptura, lo que genera inestabilidad, ansiedad, miedo y pena; en una segunda etapa la participación en la vida laical le permite incursionar y adaptarse a nuevas dinámicas sociales distintas en algunos casos al campo religioso y eclesial. Una tercera etapa corresponde a la aceptación y superación de la salida de la vida vocacional y ministerial, en ella se comprende la posibilidad de emprender y solidificar nuevos rumbos a sus vidas, incluso sin exceptuar la posibilidad de regresar a la vida eclesial. A propósito de lo anterior, es posible inferir que la experiencia del ex le capacita y cualifica para un ejercicio ministerial sano y de mayor compromiso consigo mismo y con la institución eclesial.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe present study has as its main problem the phenomenon of the withdrawal of seminarians and priests from houses of formation and from priestly life respectively, a phenomenon that affects the Universal Church. Although this has been present for a long time and the cases are numerous and growing, the lack of research in this regard is notable. The theoretical framework is based on critical theory and the main actors will be François Houtart, Max Weber and Michel Foucault. The general objective was to analyze the causalities, consequences and insertion in lay life linked to the withdrawal from vocational life of seminarians and priests of the Archdiocese of Bucaramanga from 2000 to 2019, as an input of significance of this phenomenon for the ecclesial institution, the academy and society. In an intrinsic relationship, the specific objectives are formulated, namely: to establish a statistical consolidated in relation to the seminarians and priests who were formed in the Archdiocesan Major Seminary of Bucaramanga from 2000 to 2019, in order to establish the subjects that will be part of the research; to inquire about the judgments and imaginations in the previous stage, during formation, in the exercise of the ministry and in the insertion of lay life; to contrast the information obtained in the data collection with the magisterial orientations on priestly formation and academic reflections that from the perspective of psychology explain the phenomenon of withdrawal from vocational and priestly life in the Archdiocese of Bucaramanga; to consolidate an explanatory corpus of the phenomenon of retreat from the vocational life of seminarians and diocesan priests from 2000 to 2019 as an input of significance of this phenomenon for the ecclesiastical institution, the academy and society. The methodological route was developed from a paradigm and a critical approach. In relation to the techniques and instruments, the following were used: surveys, semi-structured interviews, general official documents, regulations and, if possible, resumes. For this, files and databases (documentary reports) were used. Regarding the results, it was made visible that the main causes that generate desertion from vocational and ministerial life respectively are associated with power relations in the first place, in addition to causes of sexual-affective type. The vocational and ministerial retirement process is linked to internal conflicts such as the existence and identity crisis and pain; In addition, loss of faith, estrangement, indifference and apathy from the church and companions in formation and ministry were identified. Regarding the process of insertion into lay life, it is concluded from a triple point of view: for the community and lay faithful, the phenomenon is understood as error and failure, a situation that manifests itself in distant treatment, harsh behaviours that are illustrated with condemnatory and derogatory judgmentsas well as signaling; on the other hand, the church institution (seminary, companions and ecclesiastical hierarchy) take an attitude of abandonment, segregation and signaling; a third look is that of the ones that were in the seminary, in which an evolution is experienced, in the first instance the crisis and rupture are perceived, which generates instability, anxiety, fear and grief; in a second stage, participation in lay life allows them to enter and adapt to new social dynamics, which are in some cases different from the religious and ecclesial field; a third stage corresponds to the acceptance and improvement of the withdrawal from vocational and ministerial life, which implies the possibility of undertaking and solidifying new directions in their lives, even without excepting the possibility of returning to ecclesial life. Regarding the above mentioned, it is possible to infer that the experience of the ones that withdraw from the seminary enables and qualifies them for a healthy ministerial exercise and a greater commitment to themselves and to the ecclesial institution.
