dc.description.abstractEl presente texto tiene como propósito esbozar, desde la filosofía de Peirce y algunos de sus intérpretes, el camino que cabe seguir para la interpretación de obras de arte. Este camino pasa por entender que el objeto de la interpretación es cognoscible, a largo plazo, y que el individuo es incompleto y, en sus errores e ignorancia, abierto a seguir aprendiendo sobre el mundo en términos de la verdad. Aprendizaje que está regulado por la idea de una comunidad indefinida de investigadores e intérpretes en la que, en el futuro, lograría darse la total significación y conocimiento del objeto. El camino de la interpretación de las obras de arte se distribuirá a lo largo de los tres universos de experiencia: el primero, el de la experiencia estética; el segundo, el de la acción y reacción de lo que atrae la atención; y el tercero, el que va desde el representamen hasta un signo más desarrollado. La interpretación, que estrictamente se da en el tercer universo, está regulada por las intenciones y propósitos del artista. Sin embargo, algunos individuos se apartan de esta regulación y se rebelan contra la comunidad, mientras otros trabajan, desde la desconfianza a lo dado, en transformar los límites en fronteras para ampliar el mundo del arte.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe purpose of this text is to outline, from the philosophy of Peirce and some of his interpreters, the path that should be followed for the interpretation of works of art. This path passes through the understanding that the object of interpretation is cognizable, in the long run, and that the individual is incomplete and, in his mistakes and ignorance, open to continue learning about the world in terms of truth. Learning that is regulated by the idea of an indefinite community of researchers and interpreters in which, in the future, the total meaning and knowledge of the object would be achieved. The path of interpretation of works of art will be distributed along the three universes of experience: the first, that of aesthetic experience; the second, that of the action and reaction of what attracts attention; and the third, that which goes from the representamen to a more developed sign. Interpretation, which strictly takes place in the third universe, is regulated by the intentions and purposes of the artist. However, some individuals deviate from this regulation and rebel against the community, while others work, from a distrust of the given, to transform the limits into frontiers in order to expand the world of art.
