dc.description.abstract	En los últimos años se ha tratado de manera más amplia el tema de la inclusión en favor de los diferentes grupos de población vulnerables, históricamente excluidos, en búsqueda de formar parte activa de la sociedad. Entre estos grupos vulnerables se encuentran las personas con discapacidad, quienes afrontan mayores dificultades para ingresar al mercado laboral; la discriminación, los prejuicios infundados y la falta de información sobre el tema integran las principales atenuantes de la problemática de empleabilidad de la población con discapacidad. De esta manera, el objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar la situación laboral de las personas con discapacidad en Bucaramanga para el periodo 2017-2019. Los autores recopilaron la información almacenada en el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE) y la Alcaldía de Bucaramanga, en los cuales se destacaron diversas variables que fueron relevantes en torno al tema del trabajo y la discapacidad, así como documentación referente a la política pública de discapacidad de la ciudad. Adicionalmente, se consideró la normativa nacional e internacional como influencia para establecer parámetros sobre los derechos de las personas con discapacidad. La falta de eficiencia por parte de algunas de las entidades encargadas de la ejecución y/o cumplimiento de las metas de la política pública de discapacidad incide en los indicadores laborales de esta población. Por ende, la plena inclusión laboral de las personas con discapacidad se ve comprometida al no concebirse una política pública bien direccionada. Por lo tanto, se esperan mayores esfuerzos entre el sector público y el privado para incentivar acciones que permitan a la población con discapacidad formar parte del aparato productivo del municipio de Bucaramanga, considerando la participación activa de las diferentes organizaciones que abordan el tema de la discapacidad para la renovación de la política pública dada su vigencia hasta el presente año.
dc.description.abstractenglish	In recent years, the issue of inclusion has been addressed more broadly in favor of different vulnerable population groups, historically excluded, seeking to become an active part of society. Among these vulnerable groups are people with disabilities, who face greater difficulties in entering the labor market; discrimination, unfounded prejudices and lack of information on the subject are the main mitigating factors in the problem of employability of people with disabilities. Thus, the objective of this paper is to analyze the employment situation of people with disabilities in Bucaramanga for the period 2017-2019. Additionally, national and international regulations were considered as an influence to establish parameters on the rights of persons with disabilities. The lack of efficiency on the part of some of the entities in charge of the execution and/or fulfillment of the goals of the public policy on disability has an impact on the labor indicators of this population. Therefore, the full labor inclusion of persons with disabilities is compromised due to the lack of a well-directed public policy.
