dc.description.abstractLos espacios de práctica profesional son esenciales en la educación superior debido a que presentan una oportunidad para que el estudiante conozca e intervenga en su campo laboral con el fin de evaluar sus conocimientos y capacidades adquiridas a lo largo de su formación. A pesar de su importancia, no se cuenta con una postura académica consolidada sobre estos. Por consiguiente, surge la necesidad de investigar desde un panorama general cómo diferentes actores significan las competencias requeridas en la introducción de los estudiantes a las actuaciones profesionales. Así pues, nace el proyecto Competencias y actuaciones profesionales en la Universidad Industrial de Santander: Significaciones institucionales y estudiantiles en el cual se enmarca esta pasantía. En el presente informe, además de realizarse un reporte teóricodescriptivo de la pasantía de investigación realizada, también se analiza y describe las significaciones sobre competencias profesionales presentes en la Facultad de Ingenierías Fisicomecánicas de la Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS). Desde un enfoque cualitativo y siendo un estudio de caso múltiple, se emplea el método de análisis propuesto por la semiótica de prácticas culturales. El corpus de análisis se compone de entrevistas a seis estudiantes, dos profesores y dos empleadores relacionados con los programas de Ingeniería Eléctrica e Ingeniería Industrial de la UIS y su respectivo Proyecto Educativo del Programa. Los resultados evidencian la valoración positiva de las actuaciones profesionales, la necesidad de acciones que posibiliten la práctica en entornos reales y la consolidación de las competencias adquiridas por los estudiantes durante su paso por la universidad
dc.description.abstractenglishProfessional practice spaces are essential in higher education. They present an opportunity for the student to know and intervene in their work field, so their knowledge and skills acquired throughout their training can be evaluated. Despite the importance of this experience, there is not much consolidated academic position over the area. Consequently, it becomes necessary to investigate from a general perspective how different actors provide meaning to the competencies required in the introduction of students to professional performances. Thus, the current project is born: Competences and professional actions in the Industrial University of Santander: Institutional and student meanings. In this report, the meanings present in the Faculty of Physicomechanical Engineering of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) are analyzed and described, while a theoreticaldescriptive report of the authors' support for the aforementioned Project is been made. From a qualitative approach and being a multiple case study, this study uses the method of analysis of the levels of relevance proposed by the semiotics of cultural practices. The corpus of analysis is made up of six students, two professors and two employers related to the Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering programs of the UIS. Outstanding from the results, there is a positive assessment of professional actions and the need for actions that enable practice in real environments; the above will embrace the consolidation of the skills acquired by students during their time at university
