dc.description.abstract	Este proyecto tiene como finalidad la medición de asentamientos en la celda 1, ubicada en la cárcava 1 del relleno sanitario “El Carrasco” de la ciudad de Bucaramanga, y posterior elaboración de dos modelos de análisis unidimensional que sean representativos del fenómeno en cuestión. Para cumplir con los objetivos planteados, fue necesario diseñar pruebas de aplicación de cargas incrementales superficiales, para inducir los desplazamientos del suelo, los cuales fueron posteriormente medidos en campo mediante la utilización de un nivel de precisión. Finalmente, teniendo en cuenta las propiedades mecánicas, hidráulicas y viscosas de los materiales de relleno, se realizó un ajuste de datos y se elaboraron dos simulaciones de modelos elásticos y viscoelásticos que representaran los valores de asentamientos esperados. Se espera que estos modelos sirvan como medio para evaluar el comportamiento futuro de los desplazamientos que puedan presentar en al menos un mes después de aplicada una carga, dado que este corresponde al tiempo aproximado de las mediciones en campo.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The purpose of this project is the measurement of settlements in “cell 1”, located in “gully 1” of the "El Carrasco" sanitary landfill in the city of Bucaramanga, and the subsequent development of two one-dimensional analysis models that are representative of this phenomenon. In order to achieve the stated objectives, it was necessary to design tests for the application of incremental surface loads, to induce the soil deformations, which were later measured in the field by using a precision level. Finally, taking into account the mechanical, hydraulic, and viscous properties of the fill materials, a data adjustment was made and two simulations of elastic and viscoelastic models were developed to represent the expected settlement values. These models are expected to serve as a means to evaluate the future behavior of displacements that may occur in at least one month after the load is applied, since this corresponds to the approximate time of the measurements in the field.
