dc.description.abstractNuestras Bestias es una propuesta artística que explora el miedo a través de la representación visual de fobias específicas, inspirándose en los bestiarios antiguos y en estudios contemporáneos sobre esta emoción universal. El proyecto se centra en ocho fobias, cada una representada por criaturas simbólicas diseñadas para reflejar visualmente la intensidad, diversidad y complejidad de estos temores. Estas representaciones buscan conectar al espectador con la naturaleza subjetiva del miedo, evocando sensaciones de vulnerabilidad y desconcierto frente a lo desconocido. Para crear una atmósfera introspectiva y envolvente, se emplea una paleta de colores limitada al negro y al rojo, reforzando la dualidad entre el misterio y la tensión. Cada criatura está vinculada a su hábitat geográfico dentro de diferentes regiones de Latinoamérica, lo que añade un contexto cultural e histórico al proyecto. Este enfoque combina lo simbólico con lo narrativo, enriqueciendo la interpretación de las piezas. El tratamiento visual otorga a las obras una apariencia que sugiere antigüedad, evocando registros que parecen documentar los temores más profundos de la humanidad. Las piezas están dispuestas para permitir una conexión directa con el espectador, propiciando una experiencia reflexiva sobre la fragilidad humana, nuestra relación con el miedo y la incertidumbre de lo inexplorado.
dc.description.abstractenglishNuestras Bestias is an artistic proposal that explores fear through the visual representation of specific phobias, drawing inspiration from ancient bestiaries and contemporary studies on this universal emotion. The project focuses on eight phobias, each represented by symbolic creatures designed to visually reflect the intensity, diversity, and complexity of these fears. These representations aim to connect the viewer with the subjective nature of fear, evoking sensations of vulnerability and unease when facing the unknown. To create an introspective and immersive atmosphere, the project employs a color palette limited to black and red, reinforcing the duality between mystery and tension. Each creature is linked to its geographic habitat within various regions of Latin America, adding cultural and historical context to the project. This approach combines the symbolic with the narrative, enriching the interpretation of the works. The visual treatment gives the pieces an appearance that suggests timelessness, evoking records that seem to document humanity’s deepest fears. The works are arranged to allow a direct connection with the viewer, encouraging a reflective experience about human fragility, our relationship with fear, and the uncertainty of the unexplored.
