dc.description.abstractenglish | One of the greatest challenges in seismic interpretation is the use of large volumes of data generated during the exploration stage to define new hydrocarbon prospects, which causes an increase in the required time for manual interpretation of geological structures (faults and fractures). Therefore, automatic geological fault detection is an important process for the oil and gas industry. From the perspective of computer vision, the fault detection task can be interpreted as a segmentation problem, which has been widely analyzed using convolutional neural networks. However, the input data used is the seismic image in the amplitude domain, so it may have no enough information to fulfill the proposed task. In this work, the integration of seismic multi attributes of geometric and amplitude type is proposed, synthesizing information with Principal Component Analysis, as a way of pre-processing the seismic data looking forward to improving the performance in the task of segmentation of geological faults with a U-NET convolutional network and autoencoder. This implementation allows to efficiently to detect discontinuities in real and synthetic data. The proposal presented in this work improves the accuracy of 0.45 SSIM in comparison to the traditional methods on synthetic and real seismic data.
