dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo efectúa un análisis de la necesidad de un vocabulario como condición de satisfacción para la significación lingüística en el arte propuesta por Göran Hermerén y retomada por Stephen Davies su obra Musical Meaning and Expression para discernir si se puede hablar de un significado de tipo lingüístico en la música en. El vocabulario como condición de satisfacción exige que, si se pudiera llegar a afirmar que la música es como un lenguaje, ésta debería poseer elementos discretos y repetibles los cuales mantengan su significado en distintos contextos, así como poder cumplir una función referencial. En este artículo primero desarrollo las tres posturas macro que Davies esboza respecto a la relación entre música y lenguaje desde sus similitudes y diferencias. A continuación, explico el conflicto señalado por Kaufman entre teoricistas y anti-teoricistas, para lo cual esquematizo la noción de juegos de lenguaje, propuesta por de Ludwig Wittgenstein en su obra póstuma Investigaciones Filosóficas, contra las tres posturas propuestas por Davies que se pueden adoptar frente a la relación entre música y lenguaje. Por último, enseño la clasificación de la notación musical desarrollada por Davies y muestro cómo la notación musical tampoco permite asignar a la música un estatus lingüístico propio.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe present paper makes an analysis of the necessity of a vocabulary as a condition of satisfaction for the presence of linguistic meaning in arts, which was proposed by Göran Hermerén and taken back by Stephen Davies in his work Musical Meaning and Expression in order to discern if it is possible to state that there is any linguistic meaning in music. The vocabulary as a condition of satisfaction demands that, in order to state that music is like a language or have any linguistic type of meaning, therefore music should possess discrete and repeatable elements that are able to keep their meaning in different contexts and also be capable to accomplish a referential function. Firstly, on this paper I show and develop the three macro stances that Davies draws in respect to the relation between music and language from their similitudes and differences. Next, I explain the conflict pointed by Kaufman between teoricists and anti-teoricists, for which y schematize the notion of language games of Ludwig Wittgenstein in his work Philosophical Investigations against the three stances proposed by Davies.
