dc.description.abstractDesde 1875 la Escuela Normal de Bucaramanga ha ofrecido servicios educativos a nivel local, es una institución que pese a sus años de servicio no cuenta con trabajos investigativos que se centren en su desarrollo, por lo que existe un vacío historiográfico sobre la Historia de la Escuela Normal. Este trabajo se enfoca de manera específica en los primeros cien años de funcionamiento, presentando de manera detallada los principales acontecimientos que transcurrieron en la Escuela Normal desde su origen hasta la celebración de su centenario, así, de forma general se evidencian la leyes, sucesos y dinámicas que acontecen durante la temporalidad estudiada. Para poder alcanzar nuestro objetivo de presentar una reconstrucción histórica de los primeros 100 años de la Escuela, acudimos a un método histórico-crítico para la recolección y análisis de fuentes, se identificó, seleccionó, contrasto y criticó las diferentes fuentes de información con las que contamos, tanto primaria como secundaria para evidenciar la relación que tenían los sucesos locales con el panorama nacional y así resaltar la importancia de la institución. Este texto contó con tres capítulos, en un primer lugar los inicios en los que se mostraron los antecedentes y primeras dificultades que atravesó la Escuela, un segundo apartado en el que se muestran las diferentes leyes que buscaban reglamentar la instrucción, y nuestro tercer capítulo centrado en las glorias de la escuela, en su desarrollo literario y deportivo. Además, se muestra cómo la Escuela logra obtener un lugar, acorde a sus necesidades y con un espacio adecuado, es precisamente en esta ubicación que celebró su primer centenario. Este trabajo es el insumo y la invitación a que se continúe trabajando sobre la Escuela Normal, entorno a aquellas líneas que quedan por estudiar y las preguntas por resolver.
dc.description.abstractenglishSince 1875 the Escuela Normal de Bucaramanga has offered educational services at a local level, it is an institution that despite its years of service does not have research works that focus on its development, so there is a historiographic gap in the history of the Escuela Normal. This work focuses specifically on the first one hundred years of operation, presenting in detail the main events that took place in the Normal School from its origin to the celebration of its centenary, presenting in a simple way the events, thus, in a general way the laws, events, and dynamics that occur during the studied period are evidenced, In order to achieve our objective of presenting a historical reconstruction of the first 100 years of the school, we used a historical-critical method for the collection and analysis of sources, we identified, selected, contrasted and criticized the different sources of information available to us, both primary and secondary, to show the relationship between local events and the national panorama, in order to highlight the importance of the institution. This text had three chapters, in first place, the beginnings in which the background and first difficulties that the School went through were shown, a second section in which the different laws that sought to regulate the instruction are shown, and our third chapter focused on the glories of the school, in its literary and sports development, showing how the School manages to locate itself in a place according to its needs and with a larger space, it is precisely in this location that it celebrated its first centenary. This work is an input and an invitation to continue working on the Escuela Normal and to answer and investigate those lines that need to be studied and the questions that still remain unsolved.
