dc.description.abstractEl contenido de este documento presenta los resultados del diseño y la implementación de un plan de mejora en el área de urgencias en el instituto cardiovascular (ICV) de la Fundación Cardiovascular de Colombia – FCV. La primera fase del proyecto consistió en el diagnóstico del proceso, para ello se usaron herramientas de la ingeniería industrial con el fin de conocer el estado actual y detallar los problemas más relevantes. La recolección de la información se obtuvo mediante reuniones, encuestas, análisis de base de datos, diagramas. Una vez obtenida la información se analizó junto con la profesional de calidad utilizando el diagrama de procesos y el diagrama de Ishikawa para sintetizar los resultados. Con base en el diagnostico se propuso un plan de mejoramiento enfocado en mejorar el flujo de pacientes, se evidencio que las causas en las demoras de atención se encontraban principalmente en el ingreso de pacientes no misionales, los tiempos de espera para triage y consulta médica, el tiempo extendido en la atención en observación, problemas en sistema de información central SAHI, entre otros. El plan fue revisado y se aprobaron las propuestas con mayor impacto dentro del ingreso, atención y estancia. Así mismo se creó un sistema de indicadores que permitan el seguimiento y control de las mejoras implementadas.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe content of this document presents the results of the design and implementation of an improvement plan in the emergency area of the Cardiovascular Institute (ICV) of the Cardiovascular Foundation of Colombia - FCV. The first phase of the project consisted of diagnosing the process, using industrial engineering tools to understand the current state and detail the most relevant problems. Information collection was obtained through meetings, surveys, database analysis, and diagrams. Once the information was gathered, it was analyzed together with the quality professional using process and Ishikawa diagrams to synthesize the results. Based on the diagnosis, an improvement plan focused on enhancing patient flow was proposed. It was evident that delays in care were primarily caused by non-missionary patient admissions, waiting times for triage and medical consultation, extended observation times, issues in the central information system SAHI, among others. The plan was reviewed, and proposals with the greatest impact on admission, care, and stay were approved. Additionally, an indicator system was created to enable monitoring and control of the implemented improvements.
