dc.description.abstractEl presente proyecto de zonificación de amenaza por movimientos en masa a escala 1:25.000 en el suelo rural del municipio de Villanueva, Santander, fue elaborado como parte de la práctica empresarial en ALICON & ING S.A.S siguiendo la Guía Metodológica del Servicio Geológico Colombiano (SGC, 2017), partiendo de la necesidad de actualizar y profundizar la información de la amenaza por movimientos en masa en la región, debido a la frecuencia y antecedentes de este tipo de eventos en la región. A partir de la metodología mencionada, se generaron los respectivos mapas, que permitieron identificar 27 unidades geológicas superficiales, 22 subunidades geomorfológicas y 14 coberturas de la tierra, destacándose las rocas blandas, las laderas onduladas suaves y los mosaicos de cultivos y pastos como elementos predominantes. Por otro lado, se registraron 58 movimientos en masa, principalmente caídas y deslizamientos rotacionales, asociados a pendientes empinadas, suelos residuales y coberturas agrícolas intervenidas. La zonificación de amenaza consideró dos escenarios: condiciones base y eventos extremos, identificando categorías de baja, media y alta amenaza. Con base a esto, se identificaron los sectores agrícolas, infraestructuras y centro poblados rurales de las veredas Hato Viejo, Butaregua y La Lajita como las zonas de mayor amenaza.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe present project on mass movement hazard zoning at a scale of 1:25.000 in the rural area of the municipality of Villanueva, Santander, was developed as part of the internship at ALICON & ING S.A.S., following the Methodological Guide of the Colombian Geological Survey (SGC, 2017). This initiative arose from the need to update and deepen the information on mass movement hazards in the region, given the frequency and history of such events in the area. Using the aforementioned methodology, the respective maps were generated, identifying 27 surface geological units, 22 geomorphological subunits, and 14 land cover types, with soft rocks, gently undulating slopes, and mosaics of crops and pastures standing out as predominant elements. Additionally, 58 mass movements were recorded, primarily falls and rotational landslides, associated with steep slopes, residual soils, and intervened agricultural areas. The hazard zoning considered two scenarios: baseline conditions and extreme events, identifying low, medium, and high hazard categories. Based on this, the agricultural sectors, infrastructure, and rural settlements in the villages of Hato Viejo, Butaregua, and La Lajita were identified as the highest hazard areas.
