dc.description.abstract	El presente trabajo está enmarcado en la música litúrgica vocal cristiana para coro. Como objetivo general se pretende realizar una adaptación de cinco himnos Bautistas seleccionados para Coro Góspel, tomados de un himnario litúrgico. La tradición cantada en las denominaciones cristianas brinda un rol importante al formato Coral que por lo general viene escrito en estilo homofónico como los originales corales de Bach, utilizando en las voces, ritmos casi iguales que los de la melodía respectiva. Dentro de este marco, se desarrolla una búsqueda de algunos de los elementos compositivos (rítmicos y melódicos) e interpretativos característicos que se utilizan en los Coros Góspel, con el interés de incorporarlos en los arreglos del presente proyecto. La metodología utilizada incluyó audiciones sobre temas clásicos del góspel americano, unido al análisis de algunas composiciones originales que se consideran referentes en este género. Las melodías y las voces propuestas en los arreglos originales fueron enriquecidas con el refuerzo armónico del piano y con las variaciones de las voces en lo referente al ritmo y a acordes especiales característicos del género. Igualmente fueron consultadas no solo métodos de armonía, sino monografías y documentos que explican las características generales de la sonoridad del góspel, con el fin de transformar la propuesta original, sin perder su esencia, pero con un aporte estilístico y armónico enriquecedor. Fue un reto utilizar los conocimientos adquiridos durante el estudio de la Licenciatura, para tomar las decisiones correctas y pertinentes al momento de realizar los arreglos. Como resultado, los himnos tienen una nueva sonoridad que enfatiza el mensaje específico, a través de una transformación sutil, que crea un mayor disfrute en la audición, en el aporte rítmico y armónico, así como en el impacto deseado sobre la congregación que disfruta de su interpretación. Como conclusiones de este proyecto se resalta la importancia del recurso armónico y estilístico que un Licenciado en Música debe poseer, para crear o adaptar música tradicional al estilo gospel, o de hecho a otros géneros, según el gusto o la necesidad. Igualmente, es importante que no solo la armonía y la escritura de los arreglos es relevante en este proyecto, sin tener en cuenta el estilo de interpretación que los cantantes deben utilizar para crear una atmósfera fiel a lo propuesto en el arreglo, y de acuerdo al contenido expresado en el texto respectivo.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The present work is framed in the Christian vocal liturgical music for choir. The general objective is to make an adaptation of five selected Baptist hymns for Gospel Choir, taken from a liturgical hymnal. The singing tradition in Christian denominations gives an important role to the choral format, which is usually arranged in homophonic style, using in the voices, rhythms almost equal to those of the respective melody. Within this framework, a search for some of the characteristic compositional and interpretative elements used in Gospel Choirs is developed, with the interest of incorporating these elements in the arrangements of this project. The methodology used included auditions of classic American gospel songs, together with the analysis of some original compositions that are considered references in this genre. The melodies and voices proposed in the original arrangements were enriched with the harmonic reinforcement of the piano and with the variations of the voices in terms of rhythm and special chords characteristic of the genre. Likewise, not only harmony methods were consulted, but also monographs and documents that explain the general characteristics of the gospel sonority, in order to transform the original proposal, without losing its essence, but with a stylistic and enriching harmonic. It was a challenge to use the knowledge acquired during the Bachelor's Degree to make the correct and pertinent decisions at the time of making the arrangements. As a result, the hymns have a new sonority that emphasizes the specific message, through a subtle transformation, which creates a greater enjoyment in listening, in the rhythmic and harmonic contribution, as well as in the desired impact on the congregation that enjoys its interpretation. The conclusions of this project highlight the importance of the harmonic and stylistic resource that a Bachelor of Music should possess, to create or adapt traditional music to the gospel style, or indeed to other genres, according to taste or need. Likewise, it is important that not only the harmony and the writing of the arrangements is relevant in this project, without taking into account the style of interpretation that the singers must use to create an atmosphere faithful to what is proposed in the arrangement.
