dc.description.abstractEl Hospital Universitario de Santander (HUS) es un referente de las instituciones públicas prestadoras de salud en la región nororiental del país. Con más de 380 camas en servicio, el hospital recibe diariamente un alto flujo de pacientes. A pesar de contar con un sistema de censo de camas, este resulta impreciso, dificultando la agilidad de procesos y provocando que el personal opte por una acomodación y análisis de disponibilidad manual. Por tanto, el desarrollo de un software de gestión eficiente permitiría agilizar procesos y mejorar la atención hospitalaria. En este trabajo se presenta el prototipo del componente backend propuesto como solución para una plataforma de aplicación web, este software fue desarrollado con una arquitectura basada en capas elaborada en el lenguaje de programación Java utilizando el framework Spring Boot. Esta configuración permite integrar el componente frontend diseñado en el framework Angular a través de una API REST para procesar y consultar grandes volúmenes de datos almacenados en una base de datos SQLServer 2012. Para validar el enfoque propuesto, se puso a prueba la funcionalidad de este prototipo de software con ayuda del personal en las instalaciones de la institución. Con un conjunto de datos real suministrado por el hospital, se demostró la funcionalidad de esta aplicación para la asignación, control y consulta del servicio de censo de camas.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe Santander University Hospital (HUS) is a reference for public health care institutions in the northeastern region of the country. With more than 380 beds, the hospital receives a high flow of patients daily. Despite having a bed census system, it is imprecise, obstructing the agility of processes and causing staff to opt for manual accommodation and availability analysis. Therefore, the development of efficient management software would make it possible to have more efficient processes and improve hospital care. In this work, the prototype of the backend component is proposed as a solution for a web application platform. This software was developed with an architecture based on layers elaborated in Java using the Spring Boot framework. This configuration allows integrating the frontend component designed in Angular framework using a REST API to process and query large volumes of data stored in a SQLServer 2012 database. To validate the proposed approach, the functionality of this software prototype was tested with the help of the hospital staff at the institution's facilities. With a set of real data provided by the hospital, the functionality of this application for the assignment, control, and management of the bed census service was demonstrated.
