dc.description.abstract“A través de mí” nace después de un proceso de exploración plástica en los temas femeninos, indagando sobre el cuerpo de la mujer, sus roles y estética. Llegando a temas mas profundos como los problemas del género, donde se descubre otra forma de ser mujer; la mujer transgénero, que es aquel ser que debe reconstruirse a partir del cuerpo existente, fabricar una nueva imagen que sea coherente con el ser que habita el cuerpo. Es una propuesta plástica donde se invita al espectador a adentrarse en temas de género que aún son polémicos, que resguardan una serie de sentimientos duales, pues para las protagonistas de este proyecto el poder desarrollar su propia identidad y disfrutar de ella, en muchos casos también representa el rechazo y la soledad. Se muestra al ser que cambia, que nace de si mismo, sus técnicas de transformación y los sentimientos que afloran en el proceso, estos, que en juegos con elementos efímeros que representan los miedos, tanto de una sociedad que aun desconoce estas temáticas y las margina, como de los seres que asumen estos cambios. Creando un espacio de constante cambio que evoluciona con el paso del tiempo, así como lo hacen la protagonista de este proyecto, permitiendo acercar en un solo espacio ambas partes de la historia, buscando un acercamiento y un entendimiento por aquellos que salen de las reglas de lo normal.
dc.description.abstractenglish“Through me” was conceived after a process of an artistic exploration on women-based topics, inquiring about the female body, her roles in society and her aesthetics. Getting to deeper subjects like gender issues and problems, other way of being a woman is discovered: the transgender woman, the one who has to rebuild its own self starting from the existent physical body, to create a new image that is coherent with the being that lives inside that person’s body. This project invites the audience to approach and get in touch with, still, polemic issues that shelter a series of dual feelings. For these women, being able to develop their own identity and enjoy it, in many cases, come along with rejection and lonesome. It shows the person who changes, and is born from within them, their transformation techniques and the feelings that come along with the process. Feelings that in a game of elements represent the fear, both of the society who unknowns these topics and rejects them, as the people assuming these changes. It creates a constantly-changing space that evolves with the passing of the time, just like the characters of this project do, gathering in only one space both sides of the story, looking for an approach and understanding from those who break the rules of what is called normality.
