dc.description.abstract	Este artículo analiza la transformación del periódico El Trópico en San Vicente de Chucurí (1968-1978), de medio cívico a plataforma política de la ANAPO y espacio de expresión social. Con base en 99 ediciones del quincenario, 834 registros, prensa regional y entrevistas orales, se identificaron discursos y prácticas en torno a vivienda, sindicalismo y movilizaciones cívicas, además de la trayectoria de líderes sociales como Jaime Ramírez Ramírez, Gabriela Rueda de Ramírez y Anita Larrota. Se evidencia que, aunque desde 1970 el periódico se vinculó estrechamente con la ANAPO, continuó registrando la actividad de organizaciones como el Sindicato de Trabajadores y Oficios Varios y el MOIR, así como procesos de ocupación de tierras que buscaban reivindicar el derecho a la vivienda. Así, El Trópico se consolidó como un espacio de articulación política y social que fortaleció la memoria colectiva y la acción comunitaria en San Vicente de Chucurí durante el marco temporal trabajado.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This article analyzes the transformation of the newspaper El Trópico in San Vicente de Chucurí (1968-1978), from a civic-oriented medium to a political platform of the ANAPO and a space for social expression. Based on 99 editions of the biweekly, 834 records, regional press sources, and oral interviews, the study identifies discourses and practices related to housing, unionism, and civic mobilizations, as well as the trajectories of social leaders such as Jaime Ramírez Ramírez, Gabriela Rueda de Ramírez, and Anita Larrota. The findings shows that, although the newspaper became closely linked to ANAPO after 1970, it continued documenting the activities of organizations such as the Sindicato de Trabajadores y Oficios Varios and the MOIR, as well as land occupation processes aimed at asserting the right to housing. Thus, El Trópico became consolidated as a space for political and social articulation that strengthened collective memory and community action in the San Vicente de Chucuri during the studied period.
