dc.description.abstract	El presente proyecto evalúa la factibilidad de crear una empresa dedicada al procesamiento y comercialización de café especial tostado y molido en la Finca Villa Isabel, vereda El Líbano, El Socorro, Santander. Para determinar su viabilidad, se desarrollaron estudios de mercado, técnico, administrativo, legal y financiero. El estudio de mercado identificó una demanda por cafés especiales, con preferencia por la presentación de 500 gramos y una disposición de pago acorde con los precios proyectados. El estudio técnico estableció un proceso de transformación de 16 etapas para garantizar la calidad del producto. En los estudios administrativo y legal, el proyecto se clasificó como microempresa, y se diseñó una estructura organizacional acorde con sus necesidades operativas. La evaluación financiera presentó un Valor Presente Neto (VPN) negativo de -$88.606.365, una Tasa Interna de Retorno (TIR) del 14,12% y un margen de seguridad del 50,67% frente al punto de equilibrio. Estos resultados indican que, bajo las condiciones proyectadas, no se alcanza la rentabilidad esperada, aunque existe viabilidad técnica y comercial. En conclusión, el proyecto constituye una alternativa para fortalecer la comercialización de cafés especiales en la región, pero requiere ajustes financieros para mejorar su rentabilidad.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This study evaluates the feasibility of establishing a company dedicated to the processing and marketing of specialty roasted and ground coffee at Finca Villa Isabel, located in the El Líbano rural area, El Socorro, Santander. To assess its viability, market, technical, administrative, legal, and financial studies were conducted. The market research identified an active demand for specialty coffees, showing a preference for 500-gram packages and a willingness to pay that aligns with projected prices. The technical study established a 16-stage transformation process designed to ensure high product quality. Regarding administrative and legal aspects, the venture was classified as a microenterprise, and an organizational structure tailored to its operational needs was designed. The financial evaluation yielded a Net Present Value (NPV) of -$88,606,365 COP, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 14.12%, and a margin of safety of 50.67% relative to the break-even point. These findings indicate that under the projected conditions, the venture does not achieve the expected financial profitability, despite demonstrating technical and commercial feasibility. In conclusion, while the project represents a viable opportunity to strengthen the commercialization of specialty coffee in the region, financial adjustments are required to enhance its overall profitability.
