| dc.description.abstract | Los cruceros oceanográficos en la historia científica de Colombia han representado un importante aporte investigativo para el desarrollo de las Ciencias del Mar, pues desde la segunda mitad del Siglo XX en el país se han adelantado estudios hidrográficos y oceanográficos en ambos litorales, labor que ha sido ejecutada por la Dirección General Marítima (DIMAR) a través de sus centros de investigación marina. Las expediciones le han permitido al país afianzar una conciencia de mar, fundamental para avivar la exploración, explotación y reconocimiento de sus mares, que durante más de 30 años han arrojado resultados satisfactorios para la investigación marítima, pues ha orientado su ruta y señalado la trascendencia que para la Nación posee realizar estudios oceanográficos que contribuyan al conocimiento de las condiciones océano-atmosféricas de sus océanos. De los cuales en la actualidad existen una serie de informes técnicos donde se condensa datos científicos sobre el estado de los mares. Dada la existencia de esta información surge la necesidad de rescatar parte de la memoria histórica de la investigación marina en el país, producto de ello se crea un convenio interinstitucional entre el Centro Control Contaminación del Pacífico y la Escuela de Historia, con el cual se unen esfuerzos para realizar la presente investigación. Para la elaboración de este trabajo investigativo se utilizaron fuentes primarias y secundarias sobre los cruceros oceanográficos, que fueron indispensables para establecer los antecedentes, describir los cambios metodológicos en los enfoques investigativos, identificar las personas e instituciones que participaron y determinar las proyecciones de las expediciones en la Cuenca Pacífica Colombiana, información que fue clave para observar las etapas de desarrollo de las investigaciones. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The oceanographic cruises in the scientific history of Colombia have represented an important investigative contribution for the development of Sciences of the Sea, because from second half of Century XX hydrographic and oceanographic studies in both coasts have been done in the country, work that has been executed by Dirección General Marítima (DIMAR) through its marine research centers. The expeditions have allowed the country to strengthen the sea awarnemess fundamental to intensify the exploration, operation and recognition of its seas, that for more than 30 years have shown satisfactory results for the marine investigation, because it has oriented its route and pointed the importance that it has for the nation to make oceanographic studies that contribute to the knowledge of the ocean-atmospheric conditions of its oceans. Of which at the present time there is a series of technical reports where it is condensed scientific data on the sea disturbance. Given the existence of this information arises the necessity to rescue part of the historical memory of the marine investigation in the country, product of it is created an interinstitutional agreement between the Pacific Contamination Control Centre and the School of History, which efforts are united to make the present investigation. For the elaboration of this investigative work, primary and secondary sources on the oceanographic cruises were used, which were indispensable to establish the antecedents, to describe the methodologic changes in the investigative approaches, to identify the people and institutions that participated and to determine the projections of the expeditions in the Colombian Pacific basin, information that was key to observe the stages of development of the investigations. | |
