dc.description.abstract	La investigación se realizó con un enfoque cualitativo y un diseño investigación acción (IA) y se desarrolló con estudiantes de Escuela Nueva del grado tercero y cuarto de una institución pública del municipio de Guaca departamento de Santander. EL objetivo principal fue diseñar e implementar una secuencia didáctica en el área de Ciencias Naturales basada en el trabajo cooperativo para mejorar el conocimiento científico en estudiantes del grado tercero y cuarto. Como propuesta de intervención, se diseñó y aplicó una secuencia didáctica llamada cuidando mi una con una duración aproximada entre tres a cuatro horas. El proceso se llevó a cabo mediante etapas: primero se investigó los posibles problemas presentes en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de las Ciencias Naturales en la escuela y que se reflejaron en las pruebas Saber de la Institución Educativa de años anteriores. Con el diagnóstico inicial se concluye que el trabajo cooperativo es la mejor estrategia para mejorar la problemática. En un segundo momento se investigó los antecedentes a nivel internacional, nacional y local, así como la fundamentación teórica sobre trabajo cooperativo, seguidamente se diseña y plica la secuencia didáctica y se realiza un análisis de los resultados obtenidos. De la aplicación se pudo evidenciar una mejora en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje del área de Ciencias Naturales el cual se refleja en la adquisición de conocimientos científicos, para mejorar la conciencia medioambiental de los estudiantes.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The research was carried out with a qualitative approach and an action research design (IA) and was developed with Escuela Nueva students of the third and fourth grade of a public institution in the municipality of Guaca department of Santander. The main objective was to design and implement a didactic sequence in the area of Natural Sciences based on cooperative work to improve scientific knowledge in third and fourth grade students. As an intervention proposal, a didactic sequence called "taking care of my friend the planet" was designed and applied to ten sessions by using guides, each lasting approximately three to four hours. The process was carried out through stages: first, the possible problems present in the teaching and learning process of the Natural Sciences in the school were investigated and that they were reflected in the Saber tests of the Educational Institution of previous years. With the initial diagnosis, it is concluded that cooperative work is the best strategy to improve the problem. In a second moment, the antecedents at international, national and local level were investigated as well as the theoretical foundation on cooperative work, then the didactic sequence is designed and plicated and an analysis of the obtained results is made. From the application it was possible to see an improvement in the teaching and learning process in the area of Natural Sciences, which is reflected in the acquisition of scientific knowledge, in order to improve the environmental awareness of the students.
