dc.description.abstract	Este documento tiene como objetivo principal el analizar el comportamiento del mercado laboral en el área metropolitana de Bucaramanga en el año 2009, realizando una revisión de las cifras de los indicadores básicos del mercado laboral como lo son: la tasa global de participación, la tasa de ocupación y la tasa de desempleo, desde el año 2001, para tener un punto de comparación real y de esta forma poder dar una visión general y ampliada del funcionamiento del mismo en el AMB. De la revisión de las mismas se encontró que el área metropolitana de Bucaramanga presento a nivel nacional la tasa de desempleo más baja, así como un marcado crecimiento en cuanto a población ocupada y población activa, así mismo se pudo constatar que existió un traslado masivo de población inactiva a población activa lo cual genero un gran presión en el mercado laboral durante este año. Finalmente se concluye que el aumento en la población ocupada y su reflejo en la tasa de desempleo no fue producto de la generación de mayores puestos de trabajo en el AMB, dichos resultados son dados en gran mayoría por el aumento de la informalidad la cual se presenta como la forma más común que tienen las personas en el área metropolitana de Bucaramanga para conseguir ingresos.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This paper's main objective is to analyze the behavior of the labor market in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga in 2009, undertaking a review of the numbers of basic labor market indicators such as: the overall participation rate, the rate of employment and the unemployment rate since 2001, to have a real baseline and thus able to give an overview and expanded the performance of the AMB. Review of labor market indicators, we found that the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga presented at national level the lowest unemployment rate and a marked growth in population and labor force employed and also it was found that there a massive transfer of inactive to active population which generated a lot of pressure on the labor market this year. Similarly, when analyzing the behavior of the structure of the workforce of AMB was found that population growth was much greater than the growth of the working age population for 2009 showing that there is a shift the existing population to other parts of the labor force and the employed and unemployed population Finally we conclude that the increase in the employed population and its reflection in the unemployment rate was due to the generation of greater employment in the AMB, these results are given in large part by the rise of informality which is presented as the most common with people in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga for income.
