dc.description.abstract	La importancia que la memoria tiene en el proceso de construcción de identidad en el territorio nacional es quizás a menudo puesta en un segundo plano en una sociedad sobrecargada de información rápida que favorece el olvido, generando una problemática en torno al desconocimiento de quiénes somos y para dónde vamos. En este punto, el arte nos ofrece la oportunidad de dar respuesta a la necesidad de recuperar, cuestionar, registrar y preservar los orígenes y nuestro pasado, proyectando nuestra identidad, nuestro presente y nuestro futuro. “Sobrevuelo” es un proyecto artístico que aborda el concepto de memoria y heroísmo a través de diferentes archivos y relatos en torno a la figura del capitán Gómez Niño, un personaje oriundo de Oiba Santander, cuya historia se distingue por sobre la de la gran mayoría de sus coetáneos y cuyo rescate y divulgación nos ofrece un acercamiento a diferentes procesos históricos ocurridos en la primera mitad del siglo XX en nuestro territorio nacional. Con esta revisión lo que aquí se busca es confrontar la crítica de fuentes mediante un proceso de investigación-creación, estableciendo algunos elementos relacionados a la historia de la aviación nacional y a la biografía directa del capitán, para lograr con esto crear una instalación artística que conjugue la utilización de elementos como el comic, la pintura y la escultura, en función de la consolidación de esta historia en el imaginario popular.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The importance that memory has in the process of identity construction in the national territory is perhaps often put in the background in a society overloaded with fast information that favors forgetfulness, generating a problem around the ignorance of who we are and where we are going. At this point, art offers us the opportunity to respond to the need to recover, question, record and preserve the origins and our past, projecting our identity, our present and our future. "Overflight" is an artistic project that addresses the concept of memory and heroism through different archives and stories about the figure of Captain Gómez Niño, a character from Oiba Santander, whose story stands out above that of the vast majority of his contemporaries and whose rescue and dissemination offers us an approach to different historical processes that occurred in the first half of the twentieth century in our national territory. With this review what we seek here is to confront the criticism of sources through a process of research-creation, establishing some elements related to the history of national aviation and the direct biography of the captain, to achieve with this to create an artistic installation that combines the use of elements such as comics, painting and sculpture, in terms of the consolidation of this story in the popular imagination.
