dc.description.abstract	El municipio de Los Santos Santander tiene como principal base económica las actividades que abarca el sector primario (agrícola, pecuario y minero), aunque actualmente se destacan las actividades en los sectores secundario (agroindustrias) y terciario (turismo, comercial y servicios financieros). En el sector terciario predomina el turismo, debido a las parcelaciones de tipo recreativo que se encuentran en la llamada Mesa de Los Santos y también a las condiciones paisajísticas y climáticas que brinda la zona. Es por esto que anualmente la Mesa recibe una cantidad considerable de visitantes no solo del área metropolitana de Bucaramanga sino del resto del país y del extranjero. Si se tiene en cuenta que el desarrollo económico de la región se está fortaleciendo con el turismo, se precisa conocer el estado actual de las vías de acceso al municipio para garantizar que se brinde un buen nivel de servicio al usuario, y de esta manera garantizar su bienestar. Desde esta perspectiva y dada la importancia del sector se determina el presente proyecto, el cual busca aportar al municipio una herramienta que permita visualizar el estado actual de la malla vial y su señalización, tanto al usuario como al ente regulador encargado del tratamiento de la vía, y con ayuda de los datos proporcionados tomar las precauciones necesarias ya sea para transitarla o para intervenir en ella. 1
