dc.description.abstract	La diversificación de los productos agrícolas no tradicionales con potencial exportador son una razón a la capacidad competitiva en los mercados mundiales y una medida que enfrenta problemas de subempleo, informalidad y pobreza en Colombia. El sector agrícola sigue siendo un factor importante en el desarrollo económico de las naciones y un motor del crecimiento de los demás sectores, contribuyendo como medio de subsistencia y como garantía de la seguridad alimentaria. En consecuencia, el sector agrícola y en especial, el subsector frutícola representa una oportunidad de crecimiento económico y desarrollo para Colombia partiendo de la importancia del pequeño productor y de la dinamización de la canasta exportadora. De igual forma, el aprovechamiento de los tratados comerciales vigentes que tiene el país y de las ventajas comparativas del departamento de Santander, se pretende abrir paso a la dinamización de la economía a través de la competitividad de productos agrícolas. Esta investigación pretende analizar el potencial exportador del limón Tahití con subpartida arancelaria 0805502200 (citrus latifolia, en fresco) producido en el departamento de Santander, a partir del cálculo del Índice de Balanza Comercial Relativa (IBCR), el Índice de Ventaja Comparativa Revelada (IVCR) y otros indicadores de competitividad, en el marco del acuerdo comercial entre Colombia y la Unión Europea durante el período 2013 2018.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The diversification of non-traditional agricultural products with export potential is a reason for the competitive capacity in world markets and a measure that faces problems of underemployment, informality and poverty in Colombia. The agricultural sector continues to be an important factor in the economic development of nations and an engine for growth in other sectors, contributing as a means of subsistence and as a guarantee of food security. Consequently, the agricultural sector and especially the fruit Subsector represent an opportunity for economic growth and development for Colombia based on the importance of the small producer and the dynamization of the export basket. In the same way, the use of the current trade agreements that the country has and the comparative advantages of the department of Santander, is intended to open the way for the revitalization of the economy through the competitiveness of agricultural products. This research aims to analyze the export potential of Tahiti lemon with tariff subheading 0805502200 (citrus latifolia, fresh) produced in the department of Santander, based on the calculation of the Relative Trade Balance Index (IBCR), the Revealed Comparative Advantage Index (IVCR ) and other competitiveness indicators, within the framework of the trade agreement between Colombia and the European Union during the period 2013 2018.
