dc.description.abstract	Este documento contiene el informe final de la práctica empresarial realizada en la Compañía Acerías Paz del Río S.A, en la cual se diseñó e implementó un Plan de Seguridad e Higiene Industrial para el área de Convertidores en la planta de Acería. El proyecto fue desarrollado teniendo en cuenta la metodología Planear, Hacer, Verificar y Actuar, también conocido como el ciclo de mejora continua, contiene la base teórica que permitió llevar a cabo el diagnóstico de la situación inicial de la empresa en cuanto a Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional, la generación de un Plan de Seguridad e Higiene Industrial y la implementación de las actividades definidas por el autor como ejecutables en el corto plazo. Se incluyeron además las conclusiones y recomendaciones obtenidas tras la ejecución del proyecto, fundamentales para el proceso de mejora continua y las evidencias con las cuales se demostró la realización de las propuestas definidas en el trabajo como necesarias para cumplir con los objetivos y alcance del proyecto, siendo estas: fotografías, actas, listas de chequeo, listas de asistencia y datos específicos descritos en cada uno de los capítulos en que se encuentra conformado el documento. Finalmente se hizo mención a las fuentes de información consultadas durante la etapa de planeación y desarrollo del trabajo para facilitar el acceso de cualquier lector al marco teórico, legal y conceptual de manera más amplia.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This document contains the final report of the business practice realized in the Company Acerías Paz del Rio S.A, which was designed and implemented a Safety and Industrial Hygiene Plan for the Converters area in the Steel mill plant. The project was developed taking into account the methodology Plan, Do, Check and Act, also known as the continuous improvement cycle, contains the theoretical basis that allowed to conduct the diagnosis of initial situation of the Company in terms of Safety and Occupational Health, the generation of a Safety and Industrial Hygiene Plan and implementation of activities defined by the author as enforceable in the short term. Are also included, conclusions and recommendations obtained after the execution of the project, critical to the process of continuous improvement and the evidence with which were demonstrated the implementation of the proposals set out in the work as necessary to comply with the objectives and scope of the project, being these: photographs, records, checklists, attendance records and specific information described in each chapter that is forming the document. Finally was made a reference to the consulted information sources during the planning stage and development of the work to facilitate the access of any reader to the theoretical, legal and conceptual framework, more broadly.
