dc.description.abstract	El Sistema de Gestión Integral de la Energía “SGIE” es un sistema de gestión integrado por el conjunto de factores estructurados mediante normas, procedimientos y actuaciones, encaminado hacia el uso racional y eficiente de la energía en el sector productivo colombiano, a través de la participación activa de los trabajadores en relación con la tecnología y los procesos, con el fin de generar una cultura energética ambiental que se verifique en el incremento de la productividad o la competitividad de las empresas, sin afectar la calidad y enfocada hacia un desarrollo sostenible. En el presente proyecto se realiza una caracterización energética en el Centro de Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación “CENTIC”, el cual se encuentra dentro del campus de la Universidad Industrial de Santander “UIS”, es una muestra del creciente uso de sistemas electrónicos, caracterizados por tener un comportamiento no lineal. La instalación está diseñada bajo el concepto de edificio inteligente, enmarcado como un centro de proceso de datos o Internet Data Center (IDC). Cuenta con una red de cómputo, además de una serie de sistemas automatizados como lo son: el control de iluminación, el control de los aires acondicionados, un circuito cerrado de televisión entre otros equipos y cuyo propósito es brindar un servicio a la comunidad universitaria, también tiene como objetivo administrar las plataformas virtuales de la Universidad. Esta caracterización se llevó a cabo siguiendo los procedimientos estipulados por el SGIE, donde se enfocó el estudio hacia los sistemas de mayor consumo energético del edificio, cuya finalidad pretende reducir sustancialmente los costos energéticos y poder alcanzar una cultura energética ambiental en el CENTIC, que se verifique en el incremento del ahorro de energía y la reducción del impacto ambiental en una visión de desarrollo energético sostenible.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The Integral Management System of Energy (SGIE) is a managing system integrated by factors organized by procedures and actions directed to the rational and efficient use of energy in the Colombian productive sector, by means of active participation of the workers using technology and processes with the idea of generating an environmental energetic culture that can be checked in the productivity increase of productivity or captivity of the companies without affecting the quality and focus on the sustainable development. In the present project an energetic characterization is realized in the center of information technologies and communication CENTIC which is inside the campus of the University Industrial of Santander , is a sign of the increasing use of electronic systems characterized by having a not-linear behavior . The installation is designed under the concept of intelligent building , framed as a processing center or internet data center. It has a computer network , besides of a series of automated systems such as: lighting control, control of air conditioners , a closed circuit of television between other equipments and whose purpose is to offer a service to the university community, also aim to manage the virtual platforms of the university. This characterization was done following the procedures stated by the SGIE, where it focused on the study of the systems with higher energetic consumption of the building, which main objective is to reduce the energetic expenses and so reach an energetic and environmental culture at Centic. A culture that can be checked by the increase of energy savings and the reduction of the environmental impact in a vision of sustainable development.
