dc.description.abstract	En el presente documento se describe un proceso investigativo exploratorio cuyo objetivo consistió en identificar el estado actual del conocimiento sobre Responsabilidad Social (RS) a partir de la producción documental existente en Hispanoamérica desde el año 1990 hasta el año 2010. La investigación se llevó a cabo a partir de la línea de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial del Grupo de Investigación PROMETEO adscrito a la Escuela de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. Producto de la investigación se realizó una compilación documental con 446 textos y un directorio en el que se relacionan grupos de investigación, organizaciones y sitios web especializados en la RS. La documentación recopilada fue posteriormente sistematizada y analizada con el fin de generar algunas orientaciones investigativas para facilitar y consolidar diversos procesos en el manejo de la información bibliográfica del grupo de investigación. Estas orientaciones se relacionan con las características de la producción bibliográfica, las formas de registro y difusión, tendencias de contenido y áreas temáticas mayormente cubiertas, así como el rol de Trabajo Social en relación con la RS desde sus trabajos de grado de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. En últimas, se buscó promover el desarrollo de procesos de comunicación, investigación y docencia sobre RS, que aportaran al diseño de planes, programas y proyectos con un enfoque socialmente responsable que favorezcan al desarrollo sostenible del país. A su vez, en coherencia con la investigación y con el propósito de visibilizar los resultados, se propone una base de datos con información científica especializada en RS, que servirá como un importante instrumento tanto para el grupo de investigación como para la comunidad académica en general.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This paper describes an exploratory research process whose objective was to identify the state of knowledge about Social Responsibility (SR) from the existing documents production in Hispanic American countries from 1990 to 2010. The research was developed in the Investigation Group PROMETEO of the School of Social Work. As result of the investigation a documents compilation of 466 texts was done with a directory where they related: research groups Colombians, organizations and websites specializing in the social responsibility. The documents were systematized and analyzed in order to generate some investigative guidelines to facilitate and consolidate several processes in the management of bibliographic information from the research group. These guidelines relate to the characteristics of bibliographic production, the types of texts, forms of the distribution, trends in content, subject areas, and the role of Social Work. Ultimately, it proposed the development of communication processes, research and teaching about social responsibility, the previous thing will contribute to the design of plans, programs and projects with a socially responsible approach to encourage sustainable development of the country. In accordance with the directory, is possible to observe that in most countries surveyed there are organizations promoting Social Responsibility, generally non-profit-making organizations. All this academic and specialized information will serve as an important tool so much for the group of investigation as to the academic community in general.
