dc.description.abstract	En el desarrollo de este proyecto de grado se pretende realizar un análisis comparativo de costos a nivel constructivo del concreto reforzado y el acero estructural, mediante un presupuesto para cada uno de los materiales y el análisis de precios unitarios en los cuales se va a estudiar los materiales, los equipos y la mano de obra necesarios para ejecutar las actividades de los elementos estructurales de la edificación seleccionada para el presente estudio, todo lo anterior se realizará a partir del diseño estructural de una edificación en los dos tipos de materiales objeto del presente estudio, basado en la Norma Colombiana de Diseño y Construcción Sismo Resistente (NSR-10), con el fin de determinar cuál de las dos opciones es la más viable respecto a calidad y costo total de la construcción de los elementos que soportan la totalidad de las cargas a las que se encuentra sometida la edificación. Además se va a dar algunas características importantes de cada uno de los materiales que pueden resultar determinantes en el momento de decidir por cualquiera de los dos materiales, tales como funcionalidad y durabilidad de las estructuras, tiempo de construcción de las edificaciones, mantenimiento y reparación de cada una de las estructuras, protección contra la corrosión en el caso de la estructura metálica y protección contra el fuego para las dos estructuras.
dc.description.abstractenglish	In the development of this final degree project was aimed to make a costs comparative cost analysis at construction level of reinforced concrete and structural steel, through a budget for each of the materials and the unit price analysis, in which it will be analyzed the materials, equipment and workforce needed to implement the activities of a building’s structural elements of selected building for the present study. All the last elements will be carried out from a structural design of building in the two types of materials, objectives of the present study, they are based on the Norma Colombiana de Diseño y Construcción Sismo Resistente (NSR-10). In order to determine which of the two options is the most viable and feasible in terms of quality and the total cost of the elements` construction that support all loads the building is subjected. Additionally, some important features of each of the materials will be given, what can become important thing at the time of choosing any of the two materials, such as functionality and durability of structures, construction time of buildings, maintenance and repair of each of the structures, corrosion protection in the case of the metal frame and fire protection for the two structures.
