| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de este proyecto es dotar a la empresa Cummins API S.A. de un banco de pruebas de motores diesel, para complementar los trabajos de servicio en el taller de la compañía; además este proyecto intenta establecer una clara cooperación de la academia en las necesidades de las industrias a través de la solución de problemas en base a conceptos teóricos llevados a la práctica en la localización de fallas de los equipos que han sido reparados y la adecuación de un banco de pruebas de motores diesel; así que este trabajo tiene también la finalidad de brindar confianza y seguridad acerca de sus equipos en cuanto a confiabilidad y rendimiento a los clientes que requieren este servicio. Con este proyecto se intenta realizar una inversión de recursos con el fin de dar paso al desarrollo de una ingeniería y unos resultados prácticos, enfocándose principalmente en los motores diesel de tipo automotriz e industrial. Los primeros capítulos realizan una exposición de los productos de la compañía, un diagnóstico valorativo de las instalaciones destinadas para el banco de pruebas, además de conceptos fundamentales acerca de pruebas con motores. Los capítulos siguientes se concentran en el diseño de los diferentes sistemas del motor diesel y del dinamómetro, para finalmente concluir el proyecto con el manual de operación de la prueba dinamométrica, que es el resultado de una serie de pruebas llevadas a cabo en la finalización del proyecto. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The objective of this project is to equip to the company Cummins API S.A. of a testing room with diesel engines, to complement the works on watch in the factory of the company; in addition this project tries to establish a clear cooperation of the academy in the necessities of the industries through the solution of problems on the basis of taken theoretical concepts to the practice in the location of faults of the equipment that has been repaired and the adjustment of a engine testing; so this work also has the purpose of offering to confidence and security about its equipment as far as trustworthiness and yield to the clients who require this service. With this project it is tried to make an investment of resources with the purpose of giving to passage to the development of an engineering and practical results, focusing mainly in the diesel engines of automotive and industrial type. The first chapters make an exhibition of products of the company, a evaluative diagnosis of the facilities destined for the proving stand, in addition to fundamental concepts about tests with engines. The following chapters are concentrated in the design of the different systems of the diesel engine and the dynamometer, finally to conclude the project with the manual of operation of the test, that it is the result of a series of tests carried out in the conclusion of the project. | |
