| dc.description.abstract | El Controlador Lógico Programable es un dispositivo que dispone de herramientas que facilitan la automatización de procesos industriales empleando un equipo digital programable. La Escuela de Ingeniería Eléctrica, Electrónica y Telecomunicaciones (E3T) en la actualidad dispone de cuatro PLC de referencia Twido de Schneider Electric. Estos dispositivos se encuentran en óptimo funcionamiento y actualmente se usan para las prácticas de laboratorio de la asignatura Accionamientos Eléctricos. Dada la extensión en el contenido de esta asignatura, y de las horas prácticas de laboratorio programadas, no se alcanza con el objetivo de cubrir en su totalidad las funciones que dispone este equipo. En este proyecto de grado se profundizó en la explicación de las principales funciones y facilidades que presenta este Controlador Lógico Programable en la automatización de procesos que normalmente se encuentran en la industria. Se realizó un documento escrito como herramienta de aprendizaje que facilite el entendimiento, la programación y el uso del PLC Twido y software TwidoSuite. Este documento permite mejorar el proceso de aprendizaje de quienes buscan ampliar su conocimiento respecto al PLC que se trabaja actualmente en el curso. De esta manera, se contribuye al mejoramiento del aprendizaje de los conceptos que se imparten en la asignatura Accionamientos Eléctricos y Automatización de Procesos. | |

The School of Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering (E3T) currently has four Schneider Electric Reference PLC’s. These devices are in optimal performance and are currently used for laboratory practices of the subject Electric Drives. Given the extent in the content of this subject, and the scheduled laboratory practical hours, it is not achieved with the aim of fully covering the functions available to this equipment. In this degree project, it was further elaborated in the explanation of the main functions and facilities presented by this Programmable Logic Controller in the automation of processes normally found in the industry. A written document was made as a learning tool that facilitates the understanding, programming and use of the Twido PLC and TwidoSuite software. This document allows to improve the learning process of those who seek to expand their knowledge regarding the PLC currently being worked on in the course.
