| dc.description.abstract | La construcción del Parque Nacional del Chicamocha "Panachi", siguiendo el hilo de las teorías del desarrollo regional y local, suponía un paso mas en la dirección de fortalecer a la provincia Guanentina como corredor turístico del Departamento de Santander. La administración regional esperaba que con su puesta en funcionamiento, se irrigara crecimiento económico y desarrollo social a los municipios circunvecinos. Para Jordán Sube, el municipio mas pobre y olvidado de la provincia esa no ha sido la realidad. Pese a encontrarse a pocos kilómetros del parque, la ausencia de una adecuada infraestructura vial y turística, así como de una articulación concreta con los programas turísticos del parque - en especial , porque no se ha construido el teleférico con estación en el casco urbano - ha impedido su despegue al desarrollo. Con base en la observación directa y la aplicación de encuestas a la población, la presente monografía analiza el impacto turístico y económico de Panachi en el municipio, y formula estrategias que sirvan de puente a las administraciones públicas del orden Nacional, Regional y Local para concretar proyectos y acciones que rediman los anhelos de progreso de los habitantes del municipio. La combinación de inversión en infraestructura, atracción de capitales, articulación a Panachi, y lo mas importante, trabajo con y para la comunidad en armonía con el medio ambiente, es la respuesta a los requerimientos del desarrollo local de Jordán Sube. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The construction of the Chicamocha National Park "Panachi", (for its acronym in Spanish), following the tendency of the theories for regional and local development, represented a step towards reinforcing the province of Guanenta as an important touristic point in the Department of Santander. The regional administration hoped that its opening would benefit the nearby municipalities, both economically and socially. But for Jordan Subefl, the poorest and most forgotten municipality in the province, such hasn't been the case. Although it's located a few kilometers away from the park, the lack of an appropriate touristic and road infrastructure, as well as the lack off a close interaction with the touristic programs of the park (specially, since the cable railway hasn't been built, and it would have a station in the inner city) has blocked its takeofffl towards development. Based on direct observation, and through the information gotten from surveys applied on the local population, the current monograph analyzes the touristic and economic impact of Panachi in the municipality, and formulates strategies that will work as a bridgefl with the National, Regional and Local public administrations in order to materialize projects and actions that will redeem the development expectations that the municipality inhabitants hold. The combination of several factors; Investment in infrastructure, attraction of capital, articulation with Panachi, and the most important one, work with and for the community, in harmony with the environment, is the answer to the local development requirements of Jordan Sube. | |
