dc.description.abstract	La Universidad Industrial de Santander actualmente no cuenta con un sistema de medición constante que permita conocer la situación laboral de los egresados ni el comportamiento de estos en el sector productivo que permita realizar estudios de impacto laboral, social y económico tanto de los egresados como de la región. Es por esto que a través del programa de egresados surge la idea de presentar una propuesta para la creación de un observatorio laboral de egresados para la institución desde el cual se puedan plantear estudios de seguimiento e investigación que permitan definir la situación laboral de los egresados y lo que piensan los empleadores sobre la pertinencia de los programas y lo que habría que mejorar, entre otros aspectos. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, se llevó a cabo una investigación que permitió conocer qué son y para qué sirven los observatorios laborales, así mismo se analizó el funcionamiento y actividades que realizan los diferentes observatorios de algunas de las instituciones de educación superior del país, los cuales fueron un referente para la creación de la propuesta. Otro de los aspectos que se tuvieron en cuenta para la propuesta fue la debilidad que se detectó en la UIS con relación al seguimiento de egresados y se espera dar solución con la creación del observatorio, a raíz de esto se plantea un modelo de seguimiento a egresados U.I.S que corresponde al seguimiento del M.E.N y se aplicó el pilotaje a los egresados del IPRED de la modalidad a distancia y específicamente de los programas de Tecnología Empresarial y Gestión Empresarial, a quienes se les indagó sobre su vida laboral y expectativas, pertinencia académica, satisfacción con la formación, resultados que fueron analizados como se espera que lo realice el observatorio, que permitirán mostrar resultados agregados y desagregados de los programas académicos de la UIS, obteniendo información susceptible de investigación en temas laborales, económicos y sociales
dc.description.abstractenglish	The Universidad Industrial de Santander does not currently have a system of constant measurement that allows to know the employment situation of the graduates or the behavior of these in the productive sector that allows studies of labor, social and economic impact of both the graduates and the region. That is why through the graduates program comes the idea of presenting a proposal for the creation of a work observatory of graduates for the institution from which they can raise monitoring and research studies to define the employment status of graduates and what employers think about the relevance of the programs and what should be improved, among other aspects. Taking into account the above, an investigation was carried out that made it possible to know what the observatories are and what they are for, as well as the operation and activities carried out by the different observatories of some of the higher education institutions of the country, the which were a reference for the creation of the proposal. Another aspect that was taken into account for the proposal was the weakness that was detected in the UIS in relation to the follow-up of graduates and is expected to be solved with the creation of the observatory, as a result of this a model of follow-up to graduates is proposed UIS that corresponds to the follow-up of the MEN and the piloting was applied to graduates of the IPRED of the distance modality and specifically of the Business Technology and Business Management programs, who were asked about their work life and expectations, academic relevance, satisfaction with training, results that were analyzed as expected by the observatory, which will show aggregate and disaggregated results of the academic programs of the UIS, obtaining information susceptible to research on labor, economic and social issues.
