dc.description.abstract	Las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación han tomado auge como herramienta para afrontar los diversos cambios ocasionados por la globalización, la cual ha tenido impacto trascendental en la educación. La Escuela de Estudios Industriales y Empresariales (EEIE) de la Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) no ha sido ajena a esta situación y se encuentra en la búsqueda de estrategias y planes de acción que le permitan acoplar estas tecnologías para consolidar su labor formativa. En el siguiente trabajo se identifica el estado actual del entorno y del programa de Ingeniería Industrial de laUISrespecto al uso de TIC; posteriormente, se realiza un proceso de Benchmarking con las mejores Universidades Nacionales según el Qs World University Rankings y, teniendo en cuenta la importancia del rol docente para pensar en la integración de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación, se acude a ellos para la realización de un sondeo y entrevistas que evidencian su postura y objetividad frente al tema. A partir de la integración y uso de TIC en el programa de Ingeniería Industrial de la Universidad Industrial de aprendizaje, como medio para aprender y como apoyo al aprendizaje.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) reached a new peak as a tool to deal the diverse changes caused by the globalization; which has had a transcendental impact in the education. The school of industrial and business studies (EEIE) of the industrial university of Santander (UIS) indifferent of this situation and is searching for strategies and action plans that let them consolidate a framework to their formative labor. On this papprogram atUISregard best national universities according to the Qs World University Rankings, and emphasizing in the teaching role to think about the integration of Information and Communication Technologies, goes to them to carry out a survey and interviews that show their position and objectivity to the subject. Based on the information gathered through the activities mentioned above, the "Plan for the integration and use of ICT in the Industrial Engineering program of the Industrial University of Santander" was designed, which is composed of different strategies that address ICT as an object of learning, as a means to learn and as a support for learning.
