dc.description.abstract	El presente documento muestra los detalles de la práctica empresarial que realizó el autor como auxiliar de ingeniería en la empresa García Vega S.A.S. con autorización de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. Las funciones desempeñadas durante la práctica estuvieron relacionadas a la realización de presupuestos y cantidades de obra y el monitoreo del proceso de fabricación de diferentes elementos estructurales, este proceso se llevó a cabo en la planta de producción de García Vega S.A.S. La empresa permitió que se realizaran visitas técnicas al montaje de estructuras metálicas en la ciudad de Bucaramanga, con el fin de ampliar la capacidad del autor relacionada con la gestión de proyectos. Se participó activamente en el proceso de planeación del proyecto viviendas campestres, aplicando la metodología Project Management Institute (PMI), realizó acompañamiento en la fase inicial del proyecto y en la fase de planeación, calculó cantidades de obra y realizó el presupuesto general del total de obra civil usando el software Microsoft Excel para facilitar esta tarea, el autor tuvo la oportunidad de realizar la solicitud de la licencia de construcción de este proyecto, al finalizar el cumplimiento de estas funciones dentro de la empresa, se evidenció que los procesos llevados de forma interna en relación al análisis de precios unitarios, son realizados de forma eficiente gracias a las bases de datos con las que cuenta la empresa, se recomienda a García Vega S.A.S. continuar actualizando sus bases de datos.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This document shows the details of the business practice carried out by the author as an engineering assistant at Garcia Vega S.A.S. with authorization from the Industrial University of Santander. The functions performed during the practice were related to the realization of budgets and quantities of work and the monitoring of the manufacturing process of different structural elements, this process was carried out in the production plant of Garcia Vega S.A.S. The company allowed technical visits to be made to the assembly of metal structures in the city of Bucaramanga, in order to expand the author's capacity related to project management. The author actively participated in the planning process of the rural housing project, applying the Project Management Institute (PMI) methodology, accompanied the initial phase of the project and the planning phase, calculated work quantities and made the general budget of the total civil work using Microsoft Excel software to facilitate this task, the author had the opportunity to apply for the construction license for this project, at the end of the fulfillment of these functions within the company, it was evidenced that the processes carried out internal in relation to unit price analysis, they are performed efficiently thanks to the databases that the company has, Garcia Vega SAS is recommended continue updating your databases.
