dc.description.abstract	Esta investigación se enfocó en determinar la incidencia del uso de material concreto con el fin de fortalecer el proceso de representación, específicamente las habilidades de tratamiento y conversión en la resolución de problemas del contexto con fracciones en estudiantes de tercer grado de primaria, basado en los fundamentos teóricos de Reymon Duval (Los registros semióticos de representación en matemática), George Pólya y Juan Diaz Godino. Se diseñó y aplicó como estrategia una secuencia didáctica (SD) cuyo fin fue propiciar experiencias sobre el material concreto que le permitieron a los estudiantes mediante la percepción táctil y la visualización reflexionar, construir e interpretar representaciones en un lenguaje natural, aritmético y gráfico, haciendo un uso adecuado de la información de modo que se promoviera la construcción de conocimiento en el proceso de resolución de problemas fortaleciendo también la comprensión matemática, la comunicación entre pares y con el docente. Los resultados de esta investigación muestran tanto el progreso como las diversas dificultades que presentaron los estudiantes en la resolución de problemas de su cotidianidad mediante el uso de fracciones y la pertinencia en la aplicación de las habilidades del proceso de representación, se evidencia también los avances en cuanto a la actitud de los estudiantes frente al área y al trabajo colaborativo, en el desarrollo de toda la estrategia.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This research was focused on determining the incidence of the use of concrete material in order to strengthen the representation process, specifically the treatment and conversion skills in the resolution of context problems with fractions in students of third primary grade, based on the Theoretical foundations of Reymon Duval (Semiotic Registers of Representation in Mathematics), George Pólya and Juan Diaz Godino It was designed and implemented as a strategy a didactic (SD) sequence whose purpose was to promote experiences on the concrete material that allowed students through touch perception and visualization to reflect, construct and interpret representations in a natural, arithmetic and graphic language, making proper use of the information so as to promote the construction of knowledge in the process of problem solving, also strengthening mathematical comprehension, communication between peers and with the teacher. The results of this research show both the progress and the various difficulties that the students presented in problem resolution of their daily life through the use of fractions and the pertinence in the application of the skills of the representation process It is also evident the advances in the attitude of students in the area and in collaborative work in the development of the whole strategy.
