dc.description.abstract	Las unidades aflorantes en el sector centro-oriental del Macizo de Santander, en el área del municipio de Silos y la inspección de Babega (N. de Santander) se analizaron mediante trabajo de campo y microscopia óptica de luz transmitida esto con el fin de generar un mapa geológico detallado de la zona. Las unidades encontradas fueron los Esquistos del Silgara, Ortoneis, Metasedimentitas, un cuerpo ígneo como el Granito de Durania y rocas sedimentarias de edades que van desde el Devonico hasta depósitos Cuaternarios. Las rocas metamórficas encontradas en el área fueron afectadas por un metamorfismo regional de grado medio, que alcanzó temperaturas superiores a los 470°C, indicando la zona de la cianitaalmandino de la facies anfibolita, se determinó para las Metasedimentitas una facie sub-esquistos verdes debido a su paragénesis y a la escasa recristalización que presentaban estas rocas, también se encontró un metamorfismo dinámico sobreimpuesto, asociado a las diferentes fallas regionales y satélites que afectan a las rocas a diferentes niveles estructurales. Apoyado en las diferencias mencionadas anteriormente y en las relaciones de campo se podría hablar que estas metasedimentitas no están asociadas a los Esquistos del Silgara o a rocas de la Formación Floresta. De acuerdo con esto, podría tratarse de otra unidad metasedimentaria similar al parecer a las que afloran en los sectores de Mogotes, Guaca, Berlín y Mutiscua en el Macizo de Santander.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The units in the central east from Santander‟s massif, in the area of the Silos municipality and the inspection of Babega(North of Santander)were analyzed through field work and optic microscopy of transmitted light in order to generate a detailed map form the area. The found units were Silgara schist, Ortoneis, Metasedimentitas, igneous segment like Durania granit and sedimentary rocks with different ages from the Devonico to quaternary deposits. The Metamorphic rocks found in the area were affected by a regional metamorphism of medium scale, which reached temperature over the 470 Celsius grades indicating the area of cianitaalmandine of anfibolite facies. It was determined for the Metasedimentitas a green facie sub-schist due to their paragenesis and the little re-crystallization that these rocks showed, besides it was found a dynamic metamorphism superimposed, associated to the different regional faults and satellites that affect the rocks in different structural levels. Based on the differences mentioned before, and in the field lists it can be said that these metasedimentitas are not associated to the Silgara schist or to the rocks from the dell. According to this, it could be another metasedimentary unit similar to the ones that appear in the areas of Mogotes, Guaca, Berlín y Mutiscua in the Santander massif.
