| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo se realizó en la Universidad Industrial de Santander, Sede Barrancabermeja durante el período junio 2006 - marzo de 2007 y tuvo como propósito el diseño, documentación e implementación de un Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional bajo la NTC OHSAS 18001, lo que permite a la Universidad funcionar eficiente y eficazmente, controlando y disminuyendo las perdidas humanas, económicas, sociales y materiales propiciando la permanencia de los trabajadores, debido al control de los riesgos biológicos, ergonómicos, psicológicos, químicos, físicos, mecánicos, eléctricos y locativos logrando de esta manera el mejoramiento continuo de la organización. El sistema de gestión de seguridad y salud ocupacional en la sede Barrancabermeja de la Universidad Industrial de Santander se estructuró en cinco etapas que iniciaron con un diagnostico de la situación inicial de la Universidad respecto al tema de la seguridad, seguidamente se planificó y estructuró el sistema elaborando los procedimientos, formatos y documentos exigidos por la norma NTC OHSAS 18001; estos documentos posteriormente fueron revisados por la dirección, paralelo a estas actividades se realizaron socializaciones del sistema, charlas informativas de la evolución del mismo y capacitaciones relacionadas con la promoción y prevención de la salud de los trabajadores y estudiantes. Una vez documentado e implementado el sistema se realizó la auditoria interna para evaluar la eficacia del sistema. El principal logro de este proceso fue la capacitación y conformación de la brigada de emergencia y la cultura de seguridad y bienestar que se trasluce en el contacto con proveedores y clientes, estudiantes y funcionarios de la Universidad. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The present work was made in the Universidad Industrial de Santander, Barrancabermeja seat during the period June 2006 - March of 2007 had as intention the design, documentation and implementation of a System of Management of Safety and Occupational Health under NTC OHSAS 18001, which allows the University to work effectively and efficiently, controlling and diminishing lost human, economic, social and materials causing the permanence of the workers, due to the control of biological, ergonomic, psychological, chemical, physical, mechanical, electrical and locatives risks obtaining this way the continuous improvement of the organization. The system of management of safety and occupational health in the Barrancabermeja seat was structured in five stages that they initiated with a diagnose of the initial situation of the University with respect to the subject of the safety, next the system was planned and structured elaborating the procedures, formats and documents demanded by norm NTC OHSAS 18001; later, these documents were reviewed by the direction, parallel to these activities were made socializations of the system, informative chats about evolution of itself and qualifications related to the promotion and prevention of the health of the workers and students. Once documented and implemented the system the internal audit was made to evaluate the effectiveness of the system. The main profit of this process was the qualification and conformation of the emergency brigade and the culture of safety and well-being that are reflected in the contact with suppliers and clients, students and employees of the University.
