dc.description.abstract	En el presente trabajo se propone realizar el estudio histórico del Parque Bolívar de la ciudad de Bucaramanga. Este trabajo histórico procura describir al parque como un espacio urbano utilizado para diversas funciones sociales, políticas y económicas durante su devenir histórico. Este espacio, además de ser un espacio urbano, poco a poco se transforma en un espacio cívico cultural, utilizado para la recreación y el esparcimiento. Es así, como se da preponderancia a los conceptos utilizados en este trabajo como son los de civismo, cívico, patrimonio, espacios, plazas, etc. Es con este artículo que se busca estudiar al parque como un objeto que hace parte del quehacer de la ciudad y de sus habitantes, convirtiéndose en una pieza patrimonial e histórica dándole un valor cultural inigualable. La presente investigación que toma como objeto de estudio el parque Bolívar de la ciudad de Bucaramanga, pretende describir no solo los orígenes y la historia del lugar sino realzar su valor cívico-patrimonial, sus transformaciones y desarrollo desde su planificación y construcción hasta el día de hoy. Otro tópico importante que se tratara en este trabajo es la construcción biográfica de Simón Bolívar, un estudio en el cual se mencionan aspectos importantes de este personaje histórico a quien se quiere rendir un homenaje sin politizar el mensaje. De esta manera se emprende una labor investigativa fundamentada en la problematización de un espacio concreto, visible y además vigente. Un aporte importante para la historiografía de Bucaramanga y Santander.
dc.description.abstractenglish	In the present paperwork it is propose to do the historical study of the Parque Bolívar of the city of Bucaramanga. This historical work attempts to describe the park as a urban space used for dirvers social, political and economical functions during its historical develop. This space, besides being a urban space, it is gradually transformed into a civic, cultural space, used for recreation and relaxation. This is how prevalence is given to the concepts used in this work, as, public-spirit, patrimony, spaces, square, etc. This article attepts to study the park as an object that does part of the occupation of the city and its population, turning into a patrimonial and historical piece giving it a cultural incomparable value. The present investigation, that takes as its object the study of the Parque Bolívar of the city of the Bucaramanga, pretends to describe not just the origin and the history of the place, but to heighten its civic-patrimonial value, its transformations and development from its planning and construction until today. Another important topic that will be treat in this work is the biographical construction of Simón Bolívar, a study where important aspects of this historical caracter to whom we want to pay a tribute without politicizing the message are mentioned. In this way a investigative labor is begun based on the problematics of a concrete, visibles paceandin addition in force. An important contribution for the historiography of Bucaramanga and Santander
