| dc.description.abstract | Para la alta gerencia, cada vez es más claro, el importante rol que juega una adecuada lubricación, que brinde seguridad de la maquinaria. Todavía no se comprende como esta función tribológica puede llegar a producir gran impacto, ya sea positivo o negativo, afectando la confiabilidad y finalmente la rentabilidad en una planta de procesos. Además de la correcta selección de los lubricantes para su utilización en la maquinaria, es necesario tener en cuenta determinadas normas y requisitos durante su manipulación, almacenamiento y distribución. Desde el momento en que el lubricante es fabricado hasta que se aplica al equipo, este pasa por una diversidad de situaciones intermedias como: la manipulación en la planta de lubricantes, acarreos hasta el distribuidor, transporte hasta el usuario, tiempo de permanencia en el almacén, forma de almacenamiento en la bodega de la planta, entre otros. Por otra parte es importante tener en cuenta la aplicación final al equipo y a accesorios, como recipientes y aceiteras, los cuales se utilizan en la aplicación del lubricante, que según la forma como se efectúe, puede alterar en mayor o menor grado las propiedades del recurso lubricante, y por consiguiente su rendimiento en el equipo. Quizás el parámetro más importante que se debe tener en cuenta es la protección y el manejo que el usuario le debe dar a los lubricantes; esto es tan esencial como la misma selección de las propiedades físico Œ químicas de dichos productos. Muchas veces se adquieren lubricantes especiales, como los sintéticos, pero en una forma incorrecta se almacenan en bodegas que no tienen ningún tipo de limpieza, donde el polvo abunda por todas partes o se dejan a la intemperie, expuestos a las más críticas condiciones ambientales, como tierra, polvo, humedad o agua. | dc.description.abstractenglish | To the high management, the important role that performs a suitable lubrication in the security of the machinery, is clearer everytime. It is not yet understood, how this so obvious tribologic function can get to produce big impact eather positive or negative into the reliability and finally in the profitability in a processes plant. In addition to the right lubricants choice for their use in the machinery, it is necessary to consider some rules and requirements while they are being manipulated, storaged and delivered. Since the lubricant is manufactured until it is applied to the equipment, it goes through a several intermediate situations, as: handling in the lubricants plant, carryings to the stockist, transport to the user, stay time in the store, storage in the plant´s store room, among other. On the other side, it is important to consider the lubricant final application in the equipment and accesories, such as containers and oil bottles, which are used in the lubricant application, that according to the way they are made, they may alter the lubricant properties in major or minor grade and therefore its efficiency in the equipment. Perhaps, the most important parameter that should be considered is the protection and handling that the user must have with the lubricants, this is as essential as the choice of the physical and chemical properties of such products. Most of the time, special lubricants, as the synthetic ones, are purchased but they are stored in a wrong way in the store rooms which don't have any kind of cleanness, where the dust is plentiful everywhere or they are left in the open, exposed to the most critical conditions, as dirt, dust, humidity or water. In these conditions, lubricants become useless before being used in the industrial machinery. | |
